Lightning by Dean Koontz
Surprisingly different than Koontz's usual formulaic stories and actually pretty enjoyable.

Pulver Sr. , an anthology of stories set in the world of the silent film horror classic “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,� which was among the first half-dozen silent films I ever saw some 40 years ago and which has remained a top favorite of mine ever since. I’m amazed that I never knew of this book’s existence until this morning. Very excited to dig in!

I loved Cabinet of Curiosities! It's one my my favorites in the series (out of the ones I've read so far anyway).

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium, #3) by Stieg Larsson
The writing is as good as the first two books, but my Cthulhu, there are so many unnecessary subplots and historical details. It feels like this book will never end....
