Introductions! Are you a Reader?

The two subjects I enjoy the most are anything having to do with The Fire/EMS Service (sorry for the double speak there) and Reading/Writing. I do try my hand and Needlecrafts (cross-stitch, crochet, knifty-knitting, etc) and am working on a glove-box cover for medical gloves.
I've always enjoyed reading, from the time I was very young. I have been told that once when my aunt was going to read me a bedtime story, I ended up reading it to her instead.
Most of my writing is in the form of writing challenges entries that I come across on Word Press. Most of my stories are in the recesses of my mind (flitting around in there) but, like my veins when a needle comes near, they seem to disappear when I try to thoughts to paper (literal or digital)..... Ohhhh and Grammar is not my friend. My grammar isn't atrocious, but I find it a struggle to get complex sentences to flow together correctly.
Anything you'd like to know?? Just ask and I'll answer (as long as it doesn't get too personal).

I work full time and write part time. I also have a 26 yr old daughter, 2 yr old granddaughter and a honey who's very supportive.
I'm part of a readers group here in the DFW area so I have a mountain of books to read. It's a great place to hear what romance readers are looking for. I'm a featured author this November at Readers 'n Rita's this fall. If you'll be in the area you should check it out. We have a ton of fun!!
I'm all over social media, have a blog and am working on a website this spring. Look me up. Love to connect.
I am a reader, reader, reader! I love books. I love the smell, the feel, the friendship. :) Give me a book and you give me life.

That's funny, Laurel! I hope you enjoy our books.

Well I'm a reader too, though I didn't state that in my last intro. I don't read fast, and I'm really busy half the time but when I get into a good book I don't put it down until it's finished.

Hi Lana! Nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by. Your travels sound wonderful. I hope you'll join us in our discussions about the books you love to read.
I like to include in my books a dab of historical content or current affairs as seen in Cassandra's Castle, Pouraka and Altered (only Altered is published yet). Much of the landscape in my books include forests the Pacific Northwest, or the shimmering deserts of Arizona where I used to live, add to that a pinch of magic dust and a few million stars and you just might find the portal to another Realm as in the Ian's Realm Saga.
I'm happily married to a man that puts up with my celestial wanderings and wonderings, I'm also the mother of seven lovely adult children and grandmother to sixteen gorgeous boys and girls.
I love writing, painting in oils and living in other dimensions. Life is much more colorful that way! Some of my books are middle grade to young adult adventure fantasies with dragons and wizards and sorcery and battles on the high seas. While others are meant for a more refined audience. My grandchildren are a big inspiration for my stories. There’s a shared camaraderie, something akin to what C.S. Lewis said about someday being old enough to enjoy fairy tales again.
I'm currently stretching my tent stakes in to Indie film production. Our team is working on a production of Book V of the Ian's Realm Saga titled Cassandra’s Castle. I hope to have the book published this year soon!
