Remarkable Creatures - I thought this book was good and was really interested in the life a a woman scientist in the early days.
The Slap - I have heard great things about this book and want to read it soon.
11/22/63 = I am halfway through this one and find it fascinating.

The Real James Herriot: A Memoir of My Father - I love the James Herriot books and would love to read this one.

Has anyone decided which book(s) they are going to read yet. There are so many good suggestions for me, I am having trouble deciding, but I think I am going to to with either Tell the Wolves I'm Home or A Town Like ALice. I finally got my book for the Reader's Pursuit game, though, so I am going to read it first. :)

I thought I would start with Without a Summer. It fits in with SRC and Reader's Pursuit perfectly. Then I checked the library this morning to see what branch it is at and found that someone else borrowed it yesterday (on a four week loan).

well, I Have The Blackhouse from the library right now - but I have another reading challenge I need to finish before I can really dig in here

I've packed Remarkable Creatures to take with me for our weekend away :) Hopefully, I'll get to actually read it!

I've just finished -it was a pretty easy read...
I've really enjoyed the previous 2 Chevalier's I've read. Whilst I've mostly enjoyed this one, there was just a distinct lack of sparkle in this one though I would still have enjoyed it but for one incident which I thought was unnecessary. It just felt so incongruent to the overall tone of the novel plus I lost my respect for that character at that stage... Rant(view spoiler)[she gave herself to a pretentious 50 years old man who led her on and basically ripped her off. I get it, she was in love and she's young but still... I couldn't stand it. I prefer the sensible heroines like Elizabeth Bennett who didn't get sick just because she didn't think she's any hope left (hide spoiler)] End Rant

I'm going for The Bone Garden and Charlotte's Web. I've been wanting to read more Gerritsen books for a while now so that's one picked.
Then, I'm going to read Charlotte's Web. I know my little one is too young to understand any of it being only 2 weeks old today but it will give me an excuse to start off reading to her. I don't think that reading about a murder would be the right one to start her off on so a nice children's book will be just the ticket :)

Niamh - I really liked Bone Garden - while similar to her R&I series, its also different/more unique - one of my favorites by her

i'm listening to The Rosie Project in the car right now (recommended by Coralie) and reading The Hooker and the Hermit (Lyn)

I finished up The Rosie Project (recommended by Coralie and Tien) - IMHO, I think I should have waited for all the hype about the book to die down because while it was good, I didn't love it like other seemed to - honestly Don irked me (I know it was a character thing, but it just irked me)

I still need to work on mine, I haven't even decided exactly which one I am going to read yet, lol. March is the month!

I have finished Murder and Mendelssohn which was a pleasant murder mystery. I guessed the murderer but it wasn't too obvious. What I enjoy most about this series is checking out the locations where the action takes place and imagining what they would be like in 1929.

Next I will be reading Grass for His Pillow.

I love the Phryne Fisher series as well Coralie. I haven't read Murder and Mendelssohn yet. I get most as audiobooks and put them on in the car when travelling. At an hour each way just to go do my shopping it's great :)

I've finished my 2 books. The Bone Garden was really enjoyable. Definitely the one I enjoyed the most of the Gerritsen books so far. But not sure why she didn't just write about the historical crime instead of jumping to the present as well.

Also enjoyed Charlotte's Web. Wonder why it took me so long to get around to reading it...

i've always wondering with The Bone Garden if it was meant to fit into the rizzoli and isles world and then the historical took over

So, I've finally read On the Jellicoe Road, Susan! At first, I was finding it a tad difficult to get my head around the many characters and also the time-shifts. But after a few chapters and I knew sorta of what's happening, I couldn't put it down. I read it in one day. Great characterisation, interesting premise, and lots of feels!
