**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**
Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.
Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.
If I have your team name wrong or if you wish to change it, just let me know!

I’m also happy to be team leader again as I am mostly the slowest reader.
I think last time I set up a tracking post for each task and if I wasn’t last then whoever was linked my tracking post and their completion post in the tracking/QA/Announcements thread.

0. Each teammate reads a book initially published in a fall month, teams decide which month.
As a team select a fall month. Fall this year is from September 22 through December 21 - so you may select September, October, November or December, then everyone reads a book initially published in the selected month of any year. For this task, use the initial publication date. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page - use it! Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected month in your completion posts.

Task 0:
Team selection: Book initially published in October.

No worry! For this one, we will just complete as many tasks as we can in the time period.

October is fine with me.
MKat's rules confuse me. She said if there is a date at the top of the editions page use it, otherwise she's looking for earliest date regardless of format.
My book was originally published in Oct 2004 (per book page) but the date at the top of the editions is May 2019. Does it work???
Light My Fire - Published May 14th 2019 by Tule Publishing (first published October 26th 2004)

Sorry you’ve had a rough week hope your mum is ok.
I’m taking mine as what it says at the top of the editions page - the editions page for your book is “First published October 26th 2004 so works for October.

Sally, hope your headache goes away.
LL, I think that your book is okay.

Review: This wasn’t one of the best Macomber books I’ve read - but as I head into summer nice snowy books are a relief to read. She is from the city, he is from a remote part of Alaska - can love overcome the differences? Yes it can - but a few hurdles have to be moved first.

The Vampire's Priceless Treasure by Kristen Painter

Review: Cute, exactly the fluff I needed. Wish I had finished the spin off prior to this one for more context but it was still the fluff I needed.

I love the whole series - and the fact that each of them can be read as standalone books

Task 0

Task: Each teammate reads a book initially published in a fall month - October
Book: Light My Fire
Page number: 378, Kindle edition
How book qualified: first published October 26th 2004
Date Completed: 09.26 ★★★★
Review:
A nice slow (well, sort of slow) build romance with a pretty good twist at the end for the suspense story. I've enjoyed this series and was glad to see Sandy get her own story and I loved how strong and independent she is but still willing to admit that what she really wanted was love and a family. It was gratifying to watch Ethan's values change and he only fought it a little bit! A good end to the series.

Dashing Through the Snow by Debbie Macomber
Pages: 258 GR/Kindle
Date Read: 9/27
Rating: 4*
How It Fits: First Published October 6th 2015
Review
This was a sweet fun holiday read. Ashley Davidson is desperate to get home to Seattle to surprise her mum for Christmas, Dash Sutherland has to get to Seattle for a job interview. With no flights available and only one rental car they agree to share the journey. What follows is a plot worthy of a holiday rom-com as they try to make it home with Agent Wilkes of the FBI hot on their tail.

Books selected for this task need to be written by authors who write under more than one name. Authors such as Nora Roberts/J.D. Forgotten In Death by J.D. Robb
(the first Kindle edition shown is the incorrect publisher and cover so I am not linking to it. This is the first correct publisher and cover edition).
Pages: 378
Date: 9/29
How it fits: J.D. Robb is also Nora Roberts as stated in the first line here: /author/show...

Review: It was a little all over the place and chaotic but it was better than the past few have been!

Date read: 01/10/21
Rating: 5★s
Pages: 469
How it qualifies: Jayne Castle also writes as Jayne Ann Krentz and Amanda Quick.
Review: I love this series and still own a few to work through. This romance covers the relationship between Guild Boss and Ghost Hunter, Cooper, and Elly, only daughter of an influential Guild family. Doesn’t start off well - the book opens with Elly breaking off their engagement and leaving her small home city to set up a business in a sprawling frontier town.
Of course things don’t go as planned - and Elly is dragged into danger as one of her friends is attacked in the eerie green ghost ridden alien catacombs under the city, and the body toll starts to mount. Luckily Cooper has come to visit and as he is a Ghost Hunter he helps her with the investigation as to what is going on. Secrets are revealed as they face deadly danger - bu never fear, Rose Dust Bunny is here to help.
“…Other Guild bosses have loyal minions to guard their backs. I get a dust bunny who's into glitz…

Task 2

Task: 10. Read 4 books by authors who write under more than one name
Book: Wolf with Benefits
Page number: 433, Kindle edition
How book qualified: Shelley Laurenston also writes as G.A.Aiken: Shelly Laurenston
Date Completed: 09.30 ★★★★
Review:
This was a fun read as almost all of Shelley Laurenston's books are. I almost forgot it was a romance because that definetely took a back seat to Toni's learning to live with(without) her family and the underlying sort of suspense plot.

My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella
Task: 10. Read 4 books by authors who write under more than one name
Date Read: 10/4
Rating: 4*
Pages: 449
How It Fits: Sophie Kinsella also writes as Madeleine Wickham
Review
This was a fun light hearted romance and was everything I have come to expect from Sophie Kinsella. There’s a hidden message in the book that is even more relevant in this age of social media. Everything is not as it seems.

Authors I have lots of:
Debbie Macomber (have to read 7 books by her for another challenge)
Juliet Blackwell
Victoria Laurie
Rhys Bowen
Jodie Taylor
Ilona Andrews
As long as chosen author is on Michelle’s share page I can access one if I don’t have it 😜

Done

Nora Roberts
Sarah MacLean
TJ Klune
from Sally's list I could probably do Rhys Bowen, maybe Ilona Andrews though I'm caught up on all of theirs I care to read.
