Huh, Alondra, my brother lived in Evanston at one time too! I fear we are in great danger of having a six degrees from Evanston situation here!

No, Bill. I moved away when I joined the military, as well. I haven't lived there since I was 20. LOL

That is so wild! Well, Evanston is pretty popular. It is not as expensive as Wilmette and those further North. It is close to all the rail and bus lines, and still has a metropolitan feel without being ultra grungy like Chicago.

Hello,
I actually live in the Mountains of New Mexico. Most people think New Mexico is a huge desert. And some people don’t even believe we are part of the United States. Lol
I love reading mysteries, thrillers, and even the classics.

I'd say Morristown, NJ would be my hometown. Home of the Seeing Eye Foundation, so as kids we're taught never to infere with dog training. Lots of connections to New England. Florida this year after two decades in the northwest.
Mostly read nonfiction, mysteries, and my favorite: travel essay/literature/narrative. Some fiction (novels) but not a lot.

I read many different kinds of books, mostly literary fiction and mystery/thrillers, not fantasy, romance or self-help books. I'm always on the look-out for new authors, and would be grateful for recommendations from fellow members.

Hey Tone! Glad you made it over.
Mystery/Thrillers - Knots and Crosses. The first in the Inspector Rebus series. I haven't read it in a while; but I love it.
Also, The Keeper of Lost Causes, which is one of my absolute favorites.

Thanks, Alondra. I'll check out these books.

I tend to read Historical Fiction, Historical Romance, Romance, Fiction. I’ll try any book recommendations to see if I like it. I’ve found books I would have never picked up otherwise.

My favorite genres are sci-fi, historical fiction, contemporary, and a ton of YA since I teach teenagers. I'm a huge audiobook fan and will listen to anything with a great narrator!

I enjoy mysteries, fiction, historical fiction, memoirs, thrillers, nonfiction, and oddly enough cookbooks (I don't cook very often)!

Yes. Like, how do I know I like it if I can't see the picture. I am too picky to go by words alone. That's why I like Chef's who use YT and Instagram. I get to see everything

I love mysteries, historical fiction, horror, non-fiction .... almost anything because a good story is a good story ... genre doesn't matter so much to me in the end. I also love to crochet and that is when I watch (listen to) tv shows.

Wow, glad to "see" so many new & familiar faces here! I'm Jennifer, I live in north central Florida, and I read just about everything other than sci-fi and fantasy.
