Review � A fun follow-up to the first book in this series. A lot more is learned about Defiance and Ruthie, as well as other characters. I appreciated the history that unfolded throughout the book. However, there were some parts that dragged for me and Defiance asked like a brat a little too often. She needs to stop and listen to those around her. However at 45 years old, she’s not likely to learn that any time soon. 😁

Review: It was my first time reading a Lauren Smith, and the truth; I enjoyed it very much. I like the writing and the ambiance of Wicked Designs.
Wicked Designs has an exciting way to show the friendship/brotherhood of all the rogues. The way they stand up for each other, their banters, and their readily available help sacrifice everything worth reading in the book. Also, the League of Rogues knows how to treat the ladies.
Godric is my favorite type of arrogant and self-assured on the outside but hiding a wounded heart. His childhood experiences have made him avoid becoming emotionally involved, and so he is unprepared for the feelings that Emily arouses in him. I enjoyed watching him gradually open to the belief that love was possible.
I enjoyed Emily. She was certainly no damsel in distress and gave Godric (and all the League of Rogues) a run. She often tries to escape and is constantly clever and wildly independent. Even though Godric kidnaps her, she can't help but feel attracted to him, and as she learns more about him, she wonders if they could fall in love and get married.
WICKED DESIGNS is super sexy, funny, and suspenseful; I genuinely loved the characters.

Review:
I so wanted to give this 4 stars because I love sports romances but in the end I couldn't because there were parts that were too drawn out and then other parts that seemed to skip over relationship development details between the MCs. I did love the banter and by-play between Emily and Brandon. And Emily's relationship with her sister was strong and supportive which helped her in the end. All in all a good read, just disjointed in some places.
I can't stand my initial book choice so I'll pick again and cross that one out

Review:
Always a good little SF read when I need it. It's light and comedic and easy to read. I like the main character, Kelly McAlister, as she tries to be an Ambassador for Earth on the station working for a completely ineffectual organization among races millennia older than humanity. Like I said, can be funny but also touching at times.

Review � I hate having to give a low-star review to a book with so much potential. Unfortunately, this book was just OK for me. The characters were decent, although a bit flat. The story, however, became a mess. There were too many side stories that collided with the main couple that either weren’t explained well or wrapped up so quickly I wondered why it was in the book. Overall, the story has a good structure, it just needs some serious focus.

Review � Roarke, Roarke, Roarke…usually such a level-headed, smart man definitely showed he’s only human! This book seemed to center more on the struggles between Roarke and Eve than the case itself. It showed how far Eve has grown since the first book. I think if half of what happened occurred in the first books, this series wouldn’t have made it this far. Eve didn’t have the emotional range to truly handle all that was thrown at her. However, love conquers all and I really love how Eve puts an end to the marital issues between her and Roarke. As for the case, it was still interesting and I recalled who the culprit was…although, I still needed Eve to figure out how it all went down.
