Gale Harrigan | 51 comments Hi guys, sorry i fell off for a bit. I'm recovering from covid. Ugh.
I think I'll be up to reading by tomorrow.
Before I got sick, I was researching and just plain scanning shelves for the gondola one. It really has me stumped.
I'll do some research on racism/bullying.

Georgann | 124 comments I am reading a book for category 8. If anyone can read one with a protagonist who is a delinquent or trouble make for #40, we'd have that section completed! I have several other books I hope to add, but none of them quite fit that. @EdenB15, I did not find any books that had a gondola on the cover, either. Sorry. Obviously - there's at least one out there somewhere!

EdenB15 | 386 comments I could try find one for 40! So sorry Gale hope u feel better soon. I got one for bullying! Keep going guys there finish lines in sight! I’ve love doing this with u all

Georgann | 124 comments I did find one - The Undrowned Child (The Undrowned Child, #1) by Michelle Lovric The Undrowned Child which is in the AR bookfinder and looks like it has a gondola on the cover. But it is not at my library, and I won't have time to get it on hold before the end of the month.

EdenB15 | 386 comments Z library is a great website to get books maby c if it’s ok their. I’ve 2 to finish off for another category and then maby 1 or 2 more I could squeeze in before the end

Georgann | 124 comments I finished Dark Waters (Small Spaces, #3) by Katherine Arden Dark Waters. I added it to the "shipwrecked" slot, but also the protagonist got to sail a boat and someone died! Thanks, @EdenB15. I did find it on our library's ebooks website, so I'll read it if there is time. Closing in on the end of the month!

Gale Harrigan | 51 comments Hi!
just finished my book and that finished another category. :)

message 109: by Gale (new)

Gale Harrigan | 51 comments I see someone entered Graveyard Book for task #38 (protagonist who is adopted). But it's not marked as read. I have another book that I was about to start that will fit that category. My book might also fit task #88 for snow scenes since it is set in winter. LMK if I can change #38 though because that will finish that category.

Gale Harrigan | 51 comments Oh and this is the book I'm referring to with the adopted protagonist. Ghosts of Greenglass House Ghosts of Greenglass House (Greenglass House #2) by Kate Milford

message 111: by Georgann (new)

Georgann | 124 comments @Gale, I did finish the Graveyard book yesterday. We listened to the author read it on CD. It was SO good!! Ghosts of Greenhouse Glass looks good, too. Its on my TBR list. Hopefully it will fit in another category! Today I read a book for #48, sails a boat. Tomorrow I'll read one for #50, gondola on the cover. Then the next day, finish #54, magical weapon on the cover, and I believe that's it! I had my DH run me out to a nearby suburb's library to pick up the three books I wanted to hopefully finish up Category #10. This has been a fun reading month. I may have gotten a little obsessive!!

Hi Team Wolf!

Today is the last day of the Challenge! Please remember only books finished by midnight your time tonight can count towards the challenge!

To give you and your team captain time to organise any last minute additions and changes to your team spreadsheet, the winners of the challenge will be announced on 2nd September.

And if you’d like to share some of your favourite reads of the challenge with others you can do so here: /topic/show/...
I love seeing all the fun and different books people read for the challenge and getting some great recommendations for next year!

Speaking of next year, if you have any cool ideas of things to add to the challenge or suggestions or improvements that can be made please feel free to leave a comment here: /topic/show/... or private message me if you prefer. I’ll be the first to admit the challenge wasn’t perfect but it never is and every year is a learning curve so I’m looking forward to building on what I’ve learnt this year with an even better challenge for you all next year!

Gale Harrigan | 51 comments Hey Team!
You guys did amazing for this challenge! I am honored to have read with you :)
I didn't get through as many as I had hoped. Work and Covid really too up a lot of time in the end. But I hope I added to the points total in a good way.
I'm not going to finish Greenglass House by midnight, I'm at work now (public library) and my school year (school library) starts in the morning. Truthfully, I was having a hard time figuring how match it to a task anyway, since the adoption one was fulfilled. But not matter what we place in the end, this has been an awesome month of reading! I really liked researching different books to complete the tasks. :)
