How fun! Are we specifically looking for books set in Britain (or the Commonwealth) during the Victorian era (1837-1901), or would any book set in that timeframe work? (I see that this question was already answered by the time I posted!)
I'm going to be reading A Tapestry of Light A Tapestry of Light by Kimberly Duffy for May's genre. 😊

Sure thing, Karen.

From Wikipedia:
"In the history of the United Kingdom and the British ..."

Thanks, Andrea - that explanation helps a lot.

Would this book work for this genre? The Painted Castle (Lost Castle, #3) by Kristy Cambron

Kate, Victorian books, similar to Regency, are usually set in England (or the Commonwealth), yes. Although I have read a few that start in England and then move to a non-British Commonwealth country (like the U.S.) within the story. Those types would still count.

Karen, yes, The Painted Castle will work. From the blurb, it looks like Queen Victoria might even make an appearance!

Bonny (bonnybonnybeth) | 636 comments UPDATE: Finished my April book! Told in alternate perspectives of Mary Todd Lincoln (Union President's wife) and her sister Emily Todd Helm (Confederate General's wife).
I'm still working on my April book:
The First Lady and the Rebel by Susan Higginbotham (caution: GM, occasional language)
Hope to finish it later this month and also fit in a Victorian novel!

Thanks, Andrea. I plan to read either The Painted Castle (Lost Castle, #3) by Kristy Cambron OR The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Politano , depending on which one I can get from my local library.

Katrina Lybbert | 859 comments Already playing catch up as I am a day late... but did finish my Civil War book today May 1.
Drummer Boy At Bull Run (Bonnets and Bugles) by Gilbert Morris

For the new genre - Victorian - I have a couple choices. Hopefully I will get to one of them.

Isabelle and Alexander by Rebecca Anderson OR
The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Politano
