A couple notes:

In Around the World in Eighty Days, Phileas Fogg travels by train, elephant, ship and even a wind-powered sledge (ice boat), but never sets foot in a hot air balloon as featured on numerous modern covers.

Patrizia It is possible to borrow ebooks. There are library services such as Libby and if you have Kindle Unlimited, that works the same as a library in that you borrow books instead of purchasing them. Some devices also allow you to borrow books from friends (I know Nook has a lending feature with some books). I would also count a book read on something like Project Gutenberg as borrowing.

Thank you. Honestly, my ereader is so full of ebooks that I've already bought that I'd rather read one of those than borrow one specifically for this challenge.
