PtP Two Busy Travelling (T2)

2. Tour Guide (Captain) - reserve a couple of posts in this thread tracking your team's book selection and completion. (Alternatively they could convert a chat comment to the tracking post/s.)
3. Name your team. Using this round's theme, come up with a fun name. Given we are an open/public group with no age limit, so please make sure any chosen name is smart, not smutty ;)
Please PM your name to Jane(PS) by 4 April
4. If you have a private profile, please 'friend' your team-mates. This is really important, because without this, your team-mates can't see your shelves to select a books under option 2. (It will also help with one of the categories in this round!)
5. Please post your book selections/completions in the format provided below. (This format is also posted in both the Q&A and Sign-Up threads.) We need to know the week that each book corresponds to, the page numbers, and how the book qualifies including links to lists/shelves (where applicable), etc. I can't stress this enough. When in doubt - link it*!
* don't link to your review in your completion post - reviews in your completion posts should be included in full in that post.
You don't want to start reading a book and then find it doesn't meet the requirements because some information (eg page count or theme link) was missing from your original post.
I will be monitoring this and your book will not be considered complete until I am satisfied that your selection and completion posts comply with the format rules of the challenge.
Remember - you can ONLY change your book selection in the week that the theme is called.
6. You MUST check in with your team each week, ideally once the theme is announced. Please let your team know if you expect to have spotty communication or are on holidays or having an operation, etc.
7. When you post the completion of your book, you must post a review; enough for us to know you have actually read the book. Please don't link to a review. You must post the review in this thread.
8. Re-reads are allowed but you can't read the same book twice within this challenge.
9. There is no prize for the winning team - bragging rights only :)
10. Each week, the theme will be announced in the Q&A/Announcement thread. The full list of themes announced during this round will be maintained in msg 1 of that thread.
The Rule on the Pass Option
* Each team can only have ONE member using their pass each week.
* Each member can only use that pass once each 5 weeks.
* This means that one or two team members (dependent upon the size of your team) will miss using a pass in each 5 week block.
* No-one can use the pass option in the last week of the challenge.
* In the final week Option 2 has altered and I will be allocating each team another team from which their book selection must be chosen :)

For selection post Option 1 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
How the book qualifies - please note which qualifying bookshelf/list you are using or the tags that justifies that it works.
If the theme is based off the bookcover, post the cover. If there is a letter count in the title, publication date etc, please note these details.
For selection post Option 2 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
Name of the team-member, their star rating, the date they read the book.
For selection post Option 3 you must have:
Week #
PASS
For the completion post you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Rating (1-5)
Review
Please DO NOT CHAT in these selction/completion posts. It needs to be super clear.
If you 'waffle' about your decided book - please REPOST your selection once you decide. DO NOT go back and edit your waffling post.
IF YOU NEED TO CORRECT A POST FOR MISSING INFORMATION or because the didn't qualify etc, please REPOST this information in a NEW post. Its difficult to find older posts when going backwards in the threads.

Please start by interesting yourself below. Feel free to answer the following questions or give any information you want. Excited to play with you all.
1. What name do you want to be called?
2. What is your location and time zone?
3. Is this your first time or are you a veteran?
4. What is your favorite genre? What's your least favorite?
5. Favorite book you have read so far this year.
6. Team name Suggestions (I personally love names that go with our team number and we are Team 2)
Team Name Suggestions
Two Busy Traveling

I don't know if I am a veteran but I have played PtP since I joined this group going on 3 years ago. This is my 2nd time captaining this challenge. I love participating in challenges because it helps me narrow down my TBR and choose books to read every week. I read both MM and MF. I will read any genre but I do not enjoy historical or sci-fi often. Give me a sports or paranormal (bonus if its fated mates) any day of the week. I think my favorite book I have read so far this year is For the Fans. I was absolutely sobbing and it ruined me. I'm already thinking of rereading it.
I'm terrible at team names but one did come to me.
Two Busy Traveling

I'm with you on participating challenges, helps me in deciding my next reads from my tbr and sometimes stumbling on to new rare favourite finds.
I read a variety as long as romance, but MM is definitely my main recently and I do lean towards fantasy & sci-fi often. Oh and I'm not very keen on mysteries. Although I've recently been on a contemporary kick ☺️
I have been awakened towards sports romance with Trade Deadline this year, so will definitely be trying more hockey romances.
Oh Two Busy Travelling is a great team name! I love it, so cute

I've played PTP quite a few times! I read mostly historical romance and romantic suspense with the occasional thriller thrown in.

1. What name do you want to be called? - Kari
2. What is your location and time zone? - I live in Madrid so GMT time.
3. Is this your first time or are you a veteran? - I've played this challenge a few times, it's an old favorite.
4. What is your favorite genre? What's your least favorite? - I read all kinds of romance but more MM lately, although I like MF as well. My favorite genre is contemporary romance but I also like paranormal and historical, it honestly depends on my mood. Least favorite is horror, and I need a HEA.
5. Favorite book you have read so far this year - So many good ones, but I'll say Why Did The Alien Cross The Galaxy? To Find a Fake Boyfriend and Befriend a Vacuum Cleaner. It was different and so cute.
6. Team name Suggestions - I like Two Busy Travelling, happy to go with that 👍

I mostly read contemporary MM, but I'll try most things, though I really dislike historical romance.
I loved the Why did the Alien Cross the Galaxy too! My favorite book so far this year probably The Amazing Alpha Tau Self-Improvement Project, but it was hard to choose.
I'm happy with the team name too.

OMG a crochet blog. I absolutely loved to crochet. I started by hand knitting a blanket in the fall and turned to crochet around thanksgiving. I have not looked back since. I'm working my way towards making my first sweater

Jane. Everyone has checked in.

Normally I would have started already but I also just started a scavenger hunt challenge so I'm hoping those books also match the themes.

I have looked at everyone's shelves to give me options for the 2nd section 😂
But I will probably play by ear in terms of the actual tasks see what the randomizer brings us and search then. It's different this time, no list requirement tasks, so most shouldn't be too hard to hunt for I hope 🤞

I have a google doc started.. there are a couple categories that I was hoping to use option 2, but not sure now.

I hope you're still able to find from one of our teammates and option 2 and remember it changes each week, so maybe someone will read something you like during the challenge. If haven't seen any like so far.

Oh yes. My pile is already growing. Have a lot of fleece yard since I was making lots of hats and scarves. Now im getting into grany squares and smaller yarn.

I read some MF, that might help a little. Not historical, but some suspense. I just finished the new Jennifer Crusie series if that is of any interest - Lavender's Blue

Sorry Breann - I thought you still read some MM :). I can swap you with another team if you prefer...? OR d'oh - I was getting my Breann's mixed up! Highly possible 🤣

Shall help me pick my next read, anyone hoping for a certain category?"
I just finished a book this morning, so im excited to get started. Based on the books i have for another challenge alwasy hoping for the America's category

Option 1
14. Tourist destination
Read a book set in one of the following cities - London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Sydney, Auckland, Singapore, Hong Kong.

If you aren't sure how to insert links in your posts, please read these instructions in the QA thread.
Option 2
Key date: 29 September 2023
Team mate read on or after this date and rated at least 3 stars
Option 3

A selection post must be made for whichever option you choose - INCLUDING A PASS
