Well, of course, we will give you plenty of opportunities to get bonus points!
If you read a book that fits the following below, you will get this number of bonus points:
- Book that has 9 words in the title (any edition works) � 9 pts
- Book that was published in September (any year) � 9 pts
- Book that has a 9 in the page count � 9 pts
- Book that was published on the 9th day of ANY month � 18 pts
- Book that was published in a year that ends in a 9 ('99, '09, '19) � 18 pts
- Book that is #9 in a series � 18 pts
- Book that has the letters S, E, P, T, E, M, B, E, R in title (in any order) � 27 pts
- Book that has the letters S, E, P, T, E, M, B, E, R in series title (in any order) � 27 pts
- Book that has 'anniversary' in text (please include page number, or %, and the quote) � 27 pts
- Book that has a publication date with all 9's in it (e.g. September 9th, 2009) � 36 pts
For example, if you read the following book, 92 Pacific Boulevard, you could post like this:
Review: add link
Buddy: add link if applicable
Pages: most rated (ex: this one would be 400 pages)
- Book that was published in September (any year) (using this edition - 92 Pacific Boulevard)
- Book that was published in a year that ends in a 9 ('99, '09, '19)
- Book that is #9 in a series
- Book that has 'anniversary' in text (please include page number, or %, and the quote) [pg. 13, "The first birthday, wedding anniversary and Mother's day."]
and you would receive 72 bonus points for that book.
The scores would also look like this:

When signing up, please mention the number of books you plan on reading for the month of May. These numbers will make it easier for me to make teams match up evenly.
For example,

Buddy Reads will DOUBLE your points.
BOTM will TRIPLE your points.

This will be our ninth year of being a group on ŷ, and that makes us very happy. Just like all the other previous anniversary challenges, we are bringing back the relaxing, but very competitive, page count challenge.
