Love Springs Eternal by S.J. Himes

Read: (12/7)
Rating: ★★★★
Loving this series so much. This one is fun as this time we're getting Daniel's story. I love him and Rory. With all that Daniel has been through it's lovely to see him finding his own power and knowing that he has value and is loved. Rory is so patient and sweet with Daniel. He's ancient and yet his connection with Daniel doesn't feel off balance. He trusts Daniel to be his own man and treats him as capable.
This story ramps up the action of all that is coming after this crew. There's a lot of unknown with what's happening, but it's clear that someone is trying to get their hands on not only Daniel and Rory, but also Rory's twin. But as a group there's nothing they all can't tackle. I can't wait to dive into the next book.

Week #11, Option #1
Book: Now or Never

Author: Janet Evanovich
Date read: 13 Dec
Rating: 5 stars
Review: This series just keeps getting better! For a while, it was a bit stagnant with variations on the same book over and over. But lately Evanovich has allowed Stephanie's life to progress and it has made for a better story.
Now, I'm not normally a fan of love triangles, but the Stephanie/Ranger/Morelli triangle is a classic. And now that she's said 'yes' to both of them, something has to give. Unlike quite a few other reviewers, I'm not here to post spoilers. But it's definitely worth reading to find out what happens.

Where House in the Cerulean Sea was a warm hug, this was rage, Wrath, and revenge for all the injustices visited on marginalized communities, while still being funny and full of wonderful moments. There were moments of pure rage, especially when dealing with the generational trauma done to Arthur and the children of Marsys Island. But then there are the laugh out loud moments from the amazing children and the rest of the characters. But David and his story broke my heart.

Jon's Helter Skelter Cold Case by A.J. Sherwood

Keeping this short as I’m posting from my phone. So sad that this is the last book in the series cause I love these guys, but boy did they go out with a doozy. This is a great case and all sorts of happily evers abound. Even a few certain people getting their much needed comeuppance. Love this book , love this series, will miss Jon and Donovan and their whole crew so much. Definitely will have to reread the whole series straight through sometime soon.

Review: Another great listen in the Bree Taggert series. This one following Bree’s friend Dana as she finds herself as a suspect in a murder. Looking forward to the next one.

Review: To be honest this was more a 2.5 than a 3 stars..I love MC romances and one of my all time favorite shows is Sons of Anarchy but unfortunately this story didn't do it for me..I didn't feel the connection between Channa and Cody, it felt all very rushed and to be honest the romance part was very little..there was more about club drama than romance. The only part I enjoyed was the extended family vibes that MC always have

Rereading this took me back to why I absolutely love this entire universe. Parts are completely heartbreaking, but then they’re are some things that are so funny that you can’t help but laugh out loud. I love Roman and Hunter together, but trigger warnings are an absolute necessity for this book!

Review: This was not a bad story, but a little disappointed with the execution. The suspense and overall story, unfortunately, got bogged down by too many things happening, too many characters to keep track of, some in and out of the action, and too many timestamps. Some of the dialogue and scenes at the end with all the couples and families were a bit cheesy, but I'm glad everyone got out of the situation okay, especially Marc and Sophie. I'll admit that I cried a bit when I thought my favorite badass (Marc Hunter) died.

Review: I think I know why it took me this long to finally re-read and finish this book, which I had started reading four years ago. This story was very dark. Not recommended at all for children or anyone who likes happy endings because the death count is big in this one.

Sorry Heather - yes this is the last week.
My son had an unusual Friday night football match so I’ve been watching that but checked to post the call. I’m listening to mine just now.
