Amazing effort everyone!! It's a huge effort to read for all the hands and mini challenges

We will wait until the challenge has finished to see where we placed. But mostly, I hope everyone had fun :D

Karen ⊰✿ | 3766 comments Amazing 3 months - thank you all!

Looking back on your UNO shelf. Can you recommend one book that as your best read (or perhaps one to avoid?!)

I read some great ones, but I thinkI would most likely recommend
The Real Doctor Will See You Shortly A Physician's First Year by Matt McCarthy

Kelly (Maybedog) (maybedog) | 154 comments You were the best captains, so patient with all my questions and mistakes!

I read quite a few great ones, even a couple of classics, but two jumped out at me because I cannot possibly follow the rules properly.

One was the first thing I thought of which I am not sure why I loved so much. It's M/M so has a limited audience.

Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell .

For a more general audience, I recommend

Night of the Living Deed (A Haunted Guesthouse Mystery, #1) by E.J. Copperman .

It's a fun cozy mystery that's slightly different than usual (for one thing, the ghosts are recently dead, not ancient out of their element. The audiobook has an amazing narrator if you can get it in that format.

Thanks again everybody! You were a really fun team, I hope to play another challenge with you!

Karen ⊰✿ | 3766 comments Aww thanks Kelly

And thanks for your help with adding books to the s/sheet!

I'll check out that mystery as I love a good mystery on audio :)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 1013 comments I re-read a couple of 5 star favourites Kushiel's Dart (Phèdre's Trilogy, #1) by Jacqueline Carey and The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

Out of the New-to me stuff I'd say the books I picked up in the Dark Tower and Stormlight Archive series.

No new 5-star reads for me, but that doesn't really surprise me. I save my 5 stars for a small handful of books that really blow me away. I've found my 4-stars are equivalent to most people's 5 stars (basically I'm a harsher rater, lol)

message 665: by Karen ⊰✿, Avaricious Reader (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 3766 comments I'm similar, Sammy. I like my 5 stars to be the books I could find just no fault with

I must get back to the Dark Tower series...!

message 666: by Kelly (Maybedog) (new)

Kelly (Maybedog) (maybedog) | 154 comments I used to be that way but I kind of think there's rating inflation. I notice that books overall have a hire average than they used to. I kind of think I fell for it too. I rate too many books five stars. But usually I put in the review that it's 4.5 stars if it really isn't perfect.
