Blessings-this story was one I personally didn't care for. It's about a child that is left on the steps of a caretakers shed and how the child changes more than one life. I found it a little preditable.
Chocolat-I like the movie a whole lot more than the book. After all the movie did have Johnny Depp. I found the book a little slow and I find most of her books don't close well. My favor of Ms. Harris' books I have read was Five Quarters of an Orange. It has a WWII setting.
Cold Sassy Tree-It has been many years since I've read this book, but I love it at the time and read the sequel, Leaving Cold Sassy, that was never finished. Cold Sassy Tree is in my pile to read again that's how much I enjoyed it. The book is about simple folk and there way of life.
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe- I like the movie and the book. As is usual, but not always, the book is better. For a Fannie Flagg book, no disrespect her book are just usually very light, there is a lot of depth of character. Again a story again a small town and its people.
The Jane Austen Book Club-I didn't like this book, but I did very much enjoy the movie. Maybe I need to look at this book again.
The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency- Great stories within a story. The title character Perious will steal your heart away. This book is funny, sad, sensative and loving. One word to the wise. I tried this book on audio, which I usually really like. You really just need to physically read this one.
The Secret Life of Bees-I don't know many people that didn't like this book. It's all about love women should have for one another. Guys don't think you won't like this book, you may understand us a little better for the read, but I don't think so.
The Shadow of the Wind-This is on my top 10 list of great books. It's a book about books and so much more. Horror, romance, mystery, fantasy, and a little bit of the thriller, not necessary in that order, are all is this gothic piece. Read and enjoy.
The Thirteen Tale-Another book about books. This ones about an authors life, but again so much more. Again it has a gothic air. This one is definitely a mystery and oh what a great one. This is Diane Setterfield first book, what other treats are we in store for.
The Time Traveler's Wife-This is a strange tale of a man who goes back and forth in time, but his wife does not. I like, but I think this is one of those book that we each need to read to understand.
Ok, that's the books on the list I had read. What have you guys read?

The Accidental Tourist
Big Stone Gap
Chocolat
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe
My Sister's Keeper
The No,1 Ladies Detective Agency
The Secret History
The Secret Life of Bees
The Shadow of the Wind
The Sparrow
The Thirteenth Tale
The Time Traveler's Wife
Water for Elephants
I enjoyed most of them; however, I think my two favorites are are The Sparrow (could almost border on sci fi) and The Secret History (Greek classics and murder - can't go wrong).

Evergreen by Belva Plain(a wonderful book)
The Godfather by Mario Puzo(another great book)
If Tomorrow Comes by Sydney Sheldon
Kane and Able by Jeffrey Archer
Love Story by Erich Segal
Water for Elephants bt Sara Gruen
It's nice to see some of the novels I devoured when I was younger on the list.

Big Stone Gap
Blessings
The Jane Austen Book Club
The Thirteenth Tale
The Time Traveler's Wife
Water for Elephants
This is one of my favorite catagories. There are a lot more on the list that I want to read.
