That is correct.

I thought it was funny. It was shelved by several people as comedy, romantic-comedy, humor, and funny. I'm sure Yz will say yes. (just trying to lobby for you as I want you to read this)

There's talk of the Amazon and most of the Amazon is in Brazil so I'll read it and let's hope it fits!

There is an overall story arc but each book has it's own stand alone story. I would say that this could be read without further knowledge as it only concerns Carlos and a new character (who is only introduced in the beginning). The world and it's players are explained for Caitlin early on allowing you to understand what is going on and enjoy the story. This book mainly takes part in Thailand where as the main story line is with the main characters in America.
Does that make sense? :)

Woohoo! Thanks for confirming. What luck!

If its composed of two novellas, sure.

Are they novellas or full length?"
I'll say they are 'long' novellas. : )

Sorry I was a little late on that one :)

This is probably the only one of them that you could read as a stand alone, there is no movement with the baddies that overshadow the rest of the books. I've heard a lot of people say they aren't too keen on the first book. If you decide to read them all (at some point) I'd say stick with them. They do get better!
