I read an average of 5hrs a night! I don't tend to read so much during the day unless I find I am reading a book I can't put down then I have been known to read for 12hrs solid eg.Sirrenvaag!

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I wish I didn't need so much sleep so I could stay up later reading. (I'm not wishing insomnia on myself or any other sleeping related issues, just that I didn't need so much...)

Shall be doing that again next year (and hopefully not leave it half way through the year)... Adam if you want to join in, you're most welcome :)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments I gave up updating when I finished the challenge (lazy me !) but I'm about to set up one for next year :)

message 1124: by Philip (sarah) (new)

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments December books read:
16 by 'our authors' making total for year of 211
18 by 'others' though many of these are Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ authors. Total for year 132.
Grand total number of books read in 2012 is...343!

I will read The Broons Annual tomorrow as I do every Hogmany. As a wee girl I remember my father reading it to me,as I grew I waited my turn every week to read the comic strip in the'Sunday Post' and I used to read one page of the annual every day following Christmas to make it last longer. Fond memories indeed!
HAPPY HOGMANY for tomorrow folks!

message 1125: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I had 70 exactly :o)

I would increase it for this year but I think by the time I have read my 60 odd Agatha Christie's and re-read LOTR, plus I want to read the True Blood series. I don't think I'll have much time to read more than 70 of our authors. I'll still keep track though.

message 1126: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments :) Do update us on how you get on Jud :)

message 1127: by Jay-me (Janet) (new)

Jay-me (Janet) | 3780 comments I managed 67 of "our" authors last year (not counting those who were in Salmagundi that I didn't read a separate book of theirs. Bad English but I know what I mean) Some of the 67 were rare visitors though. I doubt if I will try counting again this year.

message 1128: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I'm afraid I never count any more. Some of course, because I proofread them, I will have read 2 or 3 times but they still count as one book. It makes counting a bit pointless. I read more books than my numbers suggest - but sometimes they're the same ones!

message 1129: by Jay-me (Janet) (new)

Jay-me (Janet) | 3780 comments I'm glad I don't proofread - it annoys me enough with the typos that still sneak through into the ones that I am reading. I suppose it isn't really as bad as that - there have only been a couple that I have had to give up before the kindle went through the window ;)

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12495 comments I'd like to do that as a challenge next year, some of my best reads last year were our authors
