Haha! Well, since I'm already planning on reading some of them anyway...but doesn't making my own picks kind of defeat the purpose???

May is Loyalty Month Dead as a Doornail this is one of my faves so far of the Sookie stackhouses.

Thanks for the great picks Lekshmy. Hope the car hunting is going well. Since I have it sitting, waiting to be read, I'm going to start with Touched by an Alien. I'd love to read The Help as well if I can get it from the library in time. Thanks again!

Well, yeah.... I guess I could do some real picks too! =D

Thanks for the picks! They look great. I am definitely going to read The Summoning. I have never read this author before and I love trying new series.
I will also read His Darkest Hunger. This is a free book I picked up recently and it looks very good. Thanks for picking it as it probably would've sat on my Nook for awhile!
And if I have time I will read Retribution. Years ago I worked at a rape crisis center as a victim advocate and actually had a client who's rapist opted to defend himself and was allowed to cross-examine her. Never forgot that, and this book's premise reminds me of that.
Thanks again for the picks!
TO READ

May is Loyalty Month - Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper is one of my favorite funny vamp series & will have you laughing out loud! Jane is a one of a kind heroine & makes you shake your head & smile throughout the story.
May is Graduation Time - I just finished reading Divergent by Veronica Roth for a PIFM & I loved it. It wasn't nearly as depressing as some dystopias are & the writing was really captivating. & if you choose this, you won't have to wait as long as everyone else for the 2nd book since it comes out tomorrow! :)
International Space Day, May 4 - I've heard great things about J.D. Robb's In Death series & they're in the future so start with the first one, Naked in Death
Join Hands Day, May 4 - It doesn't look like you read a lot of YA, but it's really changed in recent years & appeals to all ages. If you're interested in broadening your horizons, check out Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater for a beautifully written story about wolves & first love.
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 - Doesn't everyone want to visit Paris?! The City of Lights, of Love, of Chance ~ everything we associate with romance! It's nonfiction, but Eloisa James' tale of packing up & moving to France sounds like a story I'd want to hear while sipping coffee at a cafe & looking through all her pictures - take a chance on Paris in Love: A Memoir (this isn't a buddy read section, but I'd totally read this with you!)
National Teacher Day, May 8 - I don't read a whole lot of nonfiction, but I really enjoyed Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, a great nonfic writer.
Armed Forces Day, May 18 - My absolute FAVORITE military/special ops series is the Queen of Suspense, Suzanne Brockmann! It looks like you've read the second of her Troubleshooters series, so either read the first one The Unsung Hero, or catch up on number three Over the Edge one of my favorites in the series.
Maritime Day, May 22 - Jennifer Crusie is the queen of chick lit & beach reads! If you haven't read her lately, do! She's so funny & always has interesting things to say about relationships through her stories - a personal favorite is Bet Me
Buddy Reads:
Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10 - l love, love, love Lisa Kleypas but have yet to read either Midnight Angel or Somewhere I'll Find You, shall we catch up together?
Chocolate Chip day, May 15 - I'm up for anything smexy! How about a Lora Leigh or About a Dragon by G.A. Aiken?

(does anyone know why the pictures are formatting weird?)
Alyssa! Thank you so much for the great picks! I would LOVE to read Once Burned (VLAD! Woot!) but unfortunately it's not out until end of June :( But let's totally buddy read it when it is out! So, I'll be reading To The Edge by Cindy Gerard this month, looks like a good series!

May ..."
Anytime is fine with me. :) Tomorrow or Wednesday is good.

I hope that you find a book or two that you'll enjoy :)
1. The Perfect Play: Any of the books in this series are yummy! Also, The Peach Keeper I love Sarah Addison Allen
2. Delirium, Before I Fall, and Vixen
3. Storm's Heart and really anything by Kresley Cole A Hunger Like No Other
4. Long Hard Ride: I really liked this series. The first and second books weren't my favorite but I really liked the others
5. The Russian Concubine and The Red Scarf: I loved the Russian influence in these books. The Russian Concubine has a mix of Russian and Chinese influence, I really enjoyed them.
6. To Kill a Mockingbird
7. The Darkest Hour: I enjoyed this series as well. Each book goes with a different brother until the fifth book.
8. The Summer I Turned Pretty: This is a YA, but it's a great summer beach read as it mostly takes place in the summer on the beach =)
9. Divergent
10. The Sugar Queen

May is Loyalty Month - Nice..."
Hi Lady Allison, thanks for the picks! I'm definitely planning on reading Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs and Over the Edge. I'm not sure about the buddy read yet - I've already got a buddy read planned of a different Lisa Kleypas book (Stranger in My Arms) and I'm not sure I want to read two in one month (as much as I do like her stuff). Depending on how my other challenges fit together I might be able to read About a Dragon later in the month, though - or maybe Lora Leigh, I haven't read anything by her in quite a while! I'll let you know once I get things a little bit more organized. Thanks again for the picks!

Okay, well, keep me updated about the buddy read if you end up with some extra time this month & I look forward to hearing what you think about the other two! :)

May is Loyalty Month ~ Here are the first in two of my favorite series Flat-Out Sexy and Halfway to the Grave both are totally sexy series with loads of sarcastic humor thrown in as well!!
May is Graduation Time ~ I'm currently reading the third of this trilogy and have really enjoyed it The Summoning. This is one I still want to get to and has had good reviews Hex Hall - I believe these are both are your TBR pile
International Space Day, May 4 ~ love husband/wife this author team On the Edge ~ They also write the Kate Daniels series as well which is awesome as well!!
Join Hands Day, May 4 ~ You haven't read anything by Nalini Singh yet - here is your chance!! either Angels' Blood or Slave to Sensation which are both the first in her series and are really good....
Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6 ~ Oh so many places I'd like to travel too.... but I loved both of these books and would love to someday go to both Scotland and Ireland Beyond the Highland Mist or Bloodfever #2 in the series or #3 Faefever as I couldn't tell if you've read book 2 or not
National Teach Day, May 8 ~ Bossypants haven't read it yet but it's been on my nook forever, lol and is supposed to be very good
Armed Forces Day, May 18 ~ The Darkest Hour
Martime Day, May 22 ~ Barefoot or One Summer
Buddy Reads: Let me know if you want to do one of these and we can figure out timing
Clean up your room, May 10 ~ Shoot to Thrill I have a copy of this book or this looked good as well but would have to put on hold at libraryForget Me Not
Chocolate Chip Day, May 15 yum,yum....

I hope you find something to strike your interest in these picks. I'm not sure if I'll have time to do a buddy read this month, but I still made some recs.
1. May is Loyalty Month: Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep follows assassin Gin Blanco's quest for revenge. She is an interesting character with elemental power and runs a BBQ joint. Or On The Edge by Ilona Andrews. Rose is bringing up her two young brothers and trying to survive while having too much magic makes her a target.
2. May is Graduation Time: An oldie, but goodie - Howl's Moving Castle by Dianna Wynne Jones follows Sophie as she is cursed and ends up helping a the Wizard Howl. Or check out Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep which takes place at the Mythos Academy where Spartans, Amazons, etc learn and train.
3. International Space Day, May 4: Heart Mate by Robin D. Owens takes place on another world with interesting familiars. Amaryllis by Jayne Castle happens on a world colonized by humans where they have developed powers.
4. Join Hands Day, May 4: It doesn't look like you read many mysteries, so here is a paranormal mystery - It Takes a Witch by Heather Blake. It has an interesting take on witchcraft.
5. Tourist Appreciation Day, May 6: London - Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Phillips. The Greek Gods are living in London and barely surviving.
6. National Teacher Day, May 8: SuperFreakonomics by Steven D. Levitt. An interesting take on just about everything.
7. Armed Forces Day, May 18: Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie is a bit of a spooky ghost tale with a bit of romance thrown in. Something from the Nightside by Simon R. Green definitely has scary elements.
8. Maritime Day, May 22: Destiny Kills by Keri Arthur starts on beach with a great opening paragraph.
9. Clean Up Your Room Day, May 10: I picked from the first 100 and choose Enclave by Ann Aguirre.
