Same here...although I picked one historical lately that I wasn't able to resist...Sylvia Day's The Stranger I Married...It's a Kensington release so it's a pretty HAWT book, but I love it. It was my first time to read this author, and I was surprise how much I enjoyed the book. i borrowed it because I like the blurb in the back of the book.

Yz, Other than being on this site, I have spent all of last night and a couple hours this morning re-shuffling my 900+ books just so I have a better idea of where they are (they are now in alphabetical order) so that I can do your book challenges. They are great, I am going to get to read stuff on my TBR pile that I just haven't even looked at for yonks. Thanks!

Tournament of Roses: I can suggest a bunch of historicals (A Rose in Winter!). Not a lot of contemporaries though, sorry.

MLK Day: Excellent category, Yz. I think it's good for people to shake up their reading ruts now and then, try something new, and aa romance is still growing as a genre and could use more exposure. If you're filling the category with books that happen to have aa characters coincidentally (the lack of them is telling though) or with Southern characters, that's cool too. If anyone needs suggestions for aa-romance, there's a lot of contemporaries and erotica, e.g. Zane (E), Eric Jerome Dickey (Suspense).

I also recommend Kimberly Kaye Terry (interracial E) and Lynn Viehl (interracial PNR). Neither of these focus on race if that's an issue (although, imo, there's nothing wrong with bringing it up when it's still an issue).

New-User I love Zane and Eric Jerome Dickey they're two of the best in the AA romance/erotica genre.

Thanks for jumping in, New_user. There might be some who might still be looking for books for the 5th category, if not, those are still good suggestions for future reading.

Terry McMillian? or Teri Woods(but than that's spelled different although I love her even though she's not romance) I've never tried Terry McMillian. I have tried Noire although they say she's on the heels on Zane I really don't think so.

Kenjii, are you thinking of the Merry Gentry series that takes place in LA? I just read Mona Lisa Awakening and it started out in NY and then moved to the high court which is in Minnesota. Is one of the other books centered in LA? Never mind! I just realized you mean Louisiana not LA as in Los Angeles. My bad!

I'm reading Wolf Tales and just discovered that one of the characters is AA. Yea! Now I can mark that off my list.
