August Challenge - You CAN judge a book by it's cover!
I chose this book due to the beautiful cover. The blurb sounded great too. I'm reading it at the moment but I'm not convinced yet.

Haha!! Yes I read 3 for horror too, and that's not even my genre!! Oh I do so want to bring it down faster than it's going up, but it just doesn't want to happen!! The book fairies are conspiring against me!! lol
Here's my list. Will figure out which I'm going to read soon.
Of course there are more, but this is a good start. (Some of the books aren't available yet but I had to include them:)) I've noticed I have a thing for flowing dresses, crows/ravens and Nick Cave :D

I don't know if I've ever bought a book based solely on the cover, so I don't know if I'll have any books for this one!

Ohh, this looks like fun. I might hit up my local Library at the begining of August and pick the books based soley on the cover that way :)
It is actually really hard to pick something just based on cover...
Do it all the time, unashamedly! I think the artwork is really important too. I also find books based on authors I like, and through reviewers I'm following.

I think I might go buy a book tomorrow based solely on cover. I was thinking about buying a new book anyway! Jess, I also don't know how to link covers here! Maybe someone can explain?

Click on 'add book/author' located at the top of the comments box
Type in the title of the book and then click search. At the bottom you've got the option to tick 'link' or 'cover'...tick cover

I'm not sure what I'll pick but it will probably be from one of these:
- I purchased this the other day because I love the cover (and thankfully the blurb sounded good).
I know I wont get to read all of them, but I will get through some of them.

I'm in but will have to look through my TBR books when we get home We have been at Port Stephens For 2 weeks and leave for Port Macquarie on Monday for 2 weeks but should be home in time for the challange

I've recently bought 3 books solely based on the covers. And borrowed a book from a friend three months ago based on the cover which I haven't read yet (so maybe I should).

Some added information, it's also the Melbourne Writers Festival from 23 August to 2 September 2012....so maybe an Aussie Author would suit!
