What made the reading (till the end) a chore for me:
馃挃 The characters are quite boring
馃挃 So much to tell about the main characters however as the story goes on they seem to fade and it seems like nothing new is there to tell
馃挃 the chemistry seems so forced; the female lead seems like she has to cling to the male lead while the male lead doesn鈥檛 seem to care enough to share what鈥檚 bare minimum to gain trust from someone you are supposed to be with unless it has to be milked from him
馃挃 I can understand why the main leads are behaving the way they are but the story seems so fragmented throughout the entire read that it gets really difficult for me to get connected with the writing or the characters
馃挃As much as emotions are forced in the writing, the worse it gets towards the end.

I really wished I loved the writing, the story and the characters. I didn鈥檛 like any and I don鈥檛 seem to care about anything that鈥檚 happening in the book. I can enjoy a book if , at least one of these - the writing, the characters, the chemistry or the plot - works. Sadly, the author鈥檚 writing doesn鈥檛 do much even when I tried with different books over the years.

But yes the writing is so easy to get into. I really liked how the book started. The pace, the characters鈥� introduction and interactions seemed so genuine and interesting. However, thirty percent into it and I was waiting for the part where the story gets interesting again which I didn鈥檛 get sadly.

I seriously can鈥檛 get completely of what happened to the bet which was most reluctantly made and is made the main point of the blurb. Yes , this is exactly why I don鈥檛 like this book (or the author鈥檚 other books) where the main selling point of the book is not discussed, or it just turns out to be just an excuse for the main characters to meet!

I am happy for the many who enjoyed this book. But no, not for me. ...more "
