We do have a few policies - that I will quickly mention:: This is a woman's group - no men allowed. We have tried talking about politics and it led to hurt feelings, so no politics can be discussed. This is a very friendly group - we will not allow condescending or mean remarks. New threads must be passed by the Moderator before posting. The only exception to that is the "Buddy Read", but please read the instructions before proceeding. And lastly, we strictly forbid any talk of self-promotion - books, blogs or any other type of personal writing. I am skeptical of adding new members that have an overwhelming amount of groups they already belong to. We are looking for members who want to read and discuss books. Not just be added to someones group listing to gain a larger number. The basis of our group is the three book categories presented each month, of which the membership has a hand in deciding. We often do polls on books, authors, and other topics. You can join in reading one book, or two or all three or if they are not to your liking, skip that month. There is no pressure in this group to read a book, or to post a comment. However, we would very much like to chat with you. We do have a thread for everyday chatting. If you are having a problem someone will see your post there and help you along. I welcome all suggestions and input and will definitely consider what is being asked. You can make suggestions either right in the "Suggestions" thread or in a personal message to me. You can always private message me for help.
