Essentially an alternate take on the superhero genre, it feels like it was written in the hope of becoming a movie. Some of the writing is compelling but the characters are stereotypes and very one-dimensional.

I loved the science fiction/fantasy aspects of this story combined with the mystery that makes you not want to put it down. The pacing is perfect, well balanced between describing the world, developing the characters and moving the plot along.
