Slaughterhouse-Five, or the Children's Crusade by Ryan North

Andy’s first review of the year

it was amazing
Based solely on the fact that this was a visual adaptation of one of my top 5 books of all time: 5 stars. Because this was a visual representation of the novel and made what my imagination had always sort of figured things out”may look like in this world: 5 stars.

When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi

Andy’s last review of the year

really liked it
I really like John Scalzi and have read most of his work, I think. When the Moon Hits Your Eye is definitely a different kind of story from his typical books. He mentions in the acknowledgment that this book completes a trilogy of sorts with Kaiju Preservation Society and Starter Villian and I can see where he is coming from, and actually made the connections before I read that (not that I'm that observant, I was just trying to make sense of the ...more
