Well, I doubt he actually wants to kill Malfoy, just cause him a lot of pain. In which case, knives wouldn't be as effective as fists anyhow.

Honestly, in retrospect, it's difficult to imagine how Harmonians could ever grow to such a large and zealous faction. The romance between Ron and Hermione really was well set up from the start.

I never noticed it before but the thing with Fudge treating Dumbledore as a "nuclear weapon" is so true. I wonder if it's a little bit of foreshadowing... :p

I think it's a lot to do with the films. Ron's not exactly portrayed as the sharpest knife in the drawer. Through the course of these updates I've pointed out many instances where his competency has been diminished simply by giving his key lines to others. In fact, at this point in the book, he thinks of what happened to Hermione, which gives him courage to venture into the Forbidden Forest. Conversely, film-Ron whimpers and nearly cries when Harry tells him they have to go.

Thanks, Haytham! Yes, you can see how scared Fudge is when Lucius Malfoy tells him that the Board of Governors has suspended Dumbledore. It's like they're letting loose his caged animal, or provoked a sleeping dragon :)

That he did, he is very easy on the eye that young Gleeson 😍😇
He is also in the 3 new Star Wars and was in Ex-Machina amongst many other films - he's had as interesting & varied a career as his pops. He's so darn adorkable 👍

Glad to know you're such a fan! I really don't know either of them outside of the Harry Potter films, but you've got me interested in looking at both their bodies of work :)

My interest in him may not be wholly based on his acting talent *whistles*

As for his dad, he is a chameleon & has played such a variety of roles! Deffo worth checking out their work...but you're not much of a film fan so it's also not the end of the world if you stick to books 😇

Well, I'm always willing to expand my horizons. I do mean to watch films, I just don't often have the time. Good to know you're such a film connoisseur... irrespective of whether or not your interest is based wholly on acting talent, or something else entirely 😉

Would never call myself a connoisseurs of anything but I do enjoy going to the cinema from time to time & for a plethora of reasons 😈

Yes, this is particularly evident in Order of the Phoenix, when Dumbledore goes rogue, and Fudge unleashes a propaganda campaign in the Daily Prophet to discredit him with the public, knowing there would be no tangible way to actually beat him.
