At that point Harry had just got with Ginny and was still riding that high, so he was probably very easily suggestible :)
lol yes, that’s definitely true. I also think Dumbledore couldn’t afford to put off doing it any longer, and therefore didn’t have the time to come up with a better plan, because he knew he was running short on time. He may have been a little desperate too, even if it went down as he had planned it would, in the end at least.

Probably didn't have the time to fill anyone else in on what horcruxes were and what the mission entailed. Harry, being tasked with extracting the memory from Slughorn, would already know everything. So, I think it was always Dumbledore's intention to bring Harry along with him. The brilliant move was getting Harry to ask to tag along, and make it seem like his idea. Otherwise, I don't think it's in Dumbledore's character to ask someone to risk their life on a possible suicide mission.
