In chapter 7, Gandalf once again announces that he has to leave the group. He says that before he leaves he is going to help the group find food and ponies. After that the group will be set and ready to make their journey through the woods of Mirkwood, which is there last obstacle before making it to the Lonely Mountains. Gandalf helps them find these things and then leads them to the home of Boern, who is half bear

Right now I am in the 6th chapter. Bilbo gets out of the mountains and finds Gandalf and the dwarfs before they leave without him. Bilbo also had just informed them about the ring that he found. As they are on the adventure north they hear the wolves.The wargs notify the goblins of the location and the goblins come as Gandalf is aware and prepared to attack. eagles swoop down and get the dwarves and Bilbo.

I am in chapter 5 of this novel and there's lots of things that have happened. In this chapter Bilbo is just waking up from a huge fall he got knocked out on. He wakes up and he finds this ring that is on the ground. He then meets this weird creature Gollum. Gollum wants to eat Bilbo so he plays a riddle game with him and if Bilbo wins then Gollum is going to show Bilbo out of the mountains

I am in chapter four of this book at this point and its very interesting. Bilbo and the crew take a trail through the Misty Mountains and when they stop to nap, goblins take the pony's and capture the dwarves too. and bring them inside of the mountain where the king goblin is. They anger the king goblin but then Gnadalf comes in and frees the dwarves. Gandalf then leads the dwarves out of the mountain.

Now we are on the journey and during this journey and the group sees in the distance a fire and Bilbo goes to see what is going on near the fire. When he gets to the fire he sees 3 trolls! Bilbo sees one of their money bags and tries to steal it but they hear him and capture him. The whole group of dwarfs go to save him and end up getting capture also, tied up and put over the fire to be coocked for dinner!

im in the second chapter of the book and Gandolf has invited the dwarfs to Bilbos house. They have made Bilbo apart of there journey. Its the next morning after the tea party and all the dwarfs had left Bilbos house and he is relieved. As soon as he starts to relax Gandolf comes in and rushes Bilbo out of his home to start the journey with the dwarfs. The book is getting more exciting each chapter that I read.

So far in the book I have been introduced to the main character, Bilbo Baggins. He lives in a hole in the ground that is in a place called the hill. Baggins is known as a hobbit. Baggins is sitting outside his house when a wizard by the name of Gandalf shows up. Gandalf arranged for a tea party at Bilbos house and Gandalf ended up inviting a lot of people that Bilbo had any idea who they were. I like the book so far.
