Well I’m getting very emotional reading this, as I do with all non-fiction. Honestly Samuel Pepys was a greasy bastard (I have a published copy of his diaries on the great fire of london), but holy crap that man’s account of tons of women sobbing while frantically searching for their husbands on shore and not finding them was :�(
