Collins focuses on postmodern assumptions, argues that 1) we can learn from postmodern exegesis, 2) we should listen to them because they are on the fringes (and thus challenge us), 3) many a liberal approach is, in many ways, postmodernist, 4) biblicists are the other end of the spectrum, 5) but implicitly they are not as important? because they approach the Bible by the means of "innocent until proven guilty"...
