I have always been fascinated with words, interactions, and the various modes in which we communicate with one another. As a child, I would lay in bed hearing my parents fight and I would replay their scenarios thinking about all the different outcomes one of the had altered their actions. These early years of observation helped me understand that the way we communicate with one another can make or break the outcome of that particular interaction. I believe that it is part of my life's mission to use my gifts as a way to create effective change in individual lives and the greater community.

Growing up in Western Pennsylvania was not easy as a "mixed kid" that self-identified as black. I was routinely teased by white students about my domina

“For me, being comfortable and unafraid to live in your own authenticity is radical. Revolutionary people don’t have to try so hard to be who they say they are. They exude it and live it effortlessly in their natural state.”

“Anything that strayed from the status quo was considered wild. And, she gave no apology. Leading the pack was her calm course of existence...
and her freedom.”

“What good are those wings if you can't use them to fly?”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake

“Life owes us nothing just because we are granted it. But, we do owe our own lives everything. Our life is a gift. When you see that for yourself, you see that the lives of others is also a gift.

There's no such thing as "gone too soon" or "before their time." Our end date is not guaranteed. We are given just one life. And, that life- no matter how young or how old it is when it leaves us in the physical form - is put here for us to learn, grow and love in some capacity.

Your legacy doesn't have to wait until you're dead and gone to be seen.

Live it with each breath you take.
Live it through your actions toward others.
Live it with the time you have now.

I want to see my life's impact during my time here on earth. Posthumous appreciation is overrated.”
Jamie A. Triplin

“I just don't like when everyone stares at me. You would think they would stop thinking I'm so weird by now.”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake

“What good are those wings if you can't use them to fly?”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake

“Maybe it will just be easier for me and everyone else if I just called myself a Mermaid." Malia felt out of place in a world full of mermaids.”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake

“I am the rainbow. Don't you see how my tail is a collection of all the colors from the sea, land, and sky?”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake
