Thank so much for the friend request! Its a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to reading some of your books! See ya around the Dangerous Hero Addicts Group!

By the way I've just added "A Perfect Darkness" to my TR list... Sounds good!

Thank you for the advice. I'm just so frustrated about this.

Hi, Cassie! Maybe you haven't gotten enough of the structure down. I'm new to series writing myself after having written 18 stand-alone books, and it's a different animal. You may be at the wrong beginning, too. Play with ideas and start at different points just for fun. And different characters. Something's stuck because it isn't right. Stories do change from the synopsis. I write from mine, but you should see all the scribbles where things have changed or been deleted or happened earlier than I'd planned. It's just a rough outline to help you move the story along and keep it on track. Don't sweat it.
A lot of writers get stuck in the middle, so hey, you're getting your stuckness out of the way in the beginning. :) Once you get past the hump, you'll be just fine. Start with action, too, something exciting or interesting going on right from the get-go. Don't set up the story or the character or the scene at the outset.
Good luck!
Jaime

Hi, Melissa! I just now found these comments on my (many!) pages! So sorry. Here's a link to the books, which I misquoted...Envy, not Ivy. Oy!
