Beta Readers and Writers

Beta readers are a core group of folks who read a draft of an author's work. They comment on line edits (i.e. missing commas, spelling mistakes), content edits (i.e. improving the setting, explaining things better), and overall story arch (i.e. plot, characters). Beta readers are invaluable to writers, as they often point out things that the author would never notice.

The trick is knowing which of their changes to make.
