Corinne Johnston That's a difficult question to answer because only you know what your son can handle? It's similar to Jaws but on a far larger scale. I don't remember any graphic or non-graphic sex scenes but there is a fair amount of normal shark attacks. I think for the most part it builds up on the suspense. His first movie is coming out in August 2018 which should give you some idea of what the novels are about. (less)
