I couldn't put this book down. I love every part of it, from the beginning to the end. I have to admit that I did a lot of x-rays (I have a kindle) and googling characters because I wasn't (and still am) not overly familiar with Greek mythology. I couldn't tell which part was made up by the author and which part was "real mythology". Overall, definitely a great addition to your library!

I was reading this book with the group for this month’s buddy read. I’ve just finished reading the book! It was awesome. I’m not so familiar with the myth of Circe and I did a lot of googling as well.
I have the sample for A Song of Achilles too! But I haven’t read it yet. Do you think it’s worth purchasing? I was wondering if I should just borrow it from the library.What do you think about Madeline Miller’s style of writing?
If you’re asking me, yes! :D I read The Song of Achilles as an ebook and I loved it so much I’m thinking of buying a physical copy to keep it on my shelf. If you’re into Greek mythology, I think it’s definitely worth purchasing. But unlike Circe, I think it’s more focused on the love story between Achilles and Patroclus. It’s a great LGBTQ book.
