It was an autocorrect fail. Supposed to read Read a book based in Washington, D.C. So setting.

I got the last set of tasks and added them in. I did set up a tracking sheet where you can add in where your book works. It's not mandatory. There are >80 tasks so I know it's a lot. I'm trying to figure out the best way to track this.

We're close to being done with the cards. 15 open spots left (8 of which are Wild/WD4). The color cards we still need are:

4 Yellow - Cecily
3 Green - Venecia
4 Blue - Venecia

Please let me know if you are having any trouble finishing any of them. I'd hate to lose out on the points :) For regular cards it's just 0, 1, 3, and 9.

I added a percentage tracker to the easter hunt. Including the easter greetings, we are over 30% of the way through the tasks. Without, just over 10%. If you're reading for a task, put your name in. I do also have the tracking sheeting sheet if you finish something and are not sure where to put it in. On the tracking sheet I changed the category to green if we have a book in for it already, yellow if someone is reading for it. But things can be moved around so if it fits, mark it.

Oh, and notes from the Q&A in the captains group.

For MC is an animal, shifters do NOT count.
For MC dies, they do not have to stay dead. Clinically dead or becoming undead works
For finding words in text, plural/other form of word (eg flowering) is fine. Meaning of word can't be changed.
For rabbit on cover, it does not need to be a real rabbit. Stuffed animal is fine.

I was waiting for my yellow book, as it was on hold, but it finally came in and I am working on it now, about half way done!!
We will finish the main part no problem I am assuming!! :

Main part I am not worried about, but I did want to check in since I hadn't in a while. I think we have a chance to finish the bonus, but it will be a lot of reading. They're worth a ton of points so it may push us ahead.

I have been having a lot of fun updating the spreadsheet and having us in the lead. I would guess other teams will have hands worth more points, but they may not finish, or at least not as many bonus as we can do. 12 days to go :)

Cards are done with the exception of two more color cards that Venecia is working on! We can just concentrate on the mini challenge to rack up the points.

Pace wise we have been ahead of the other teams all month in getting through the regular hands. Which to me means we may be able to outread them for the bonus challenges, as I think even we can't get through all >80 of them. We were within 100 points of the leader at the end of March. Not sure if we can win, but we can make it close :)

really excited!! We are doing so good!! Can we really be number one!!?!? It would be awesome, my competitive nature is soaring haha

PSA to double check that read dates are showing up in your bookshelves. I noticed the last few books I had added had no date set there. When I clicked on edit to get to the review page, the dates are in there. I added a reread date and then deleted it and then it showed up with the date in the bookshelf.

It is very annoying, sometimes I have to save multiple times before it sticks. Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ is aware of it but do not have a solution yet.

Aww man my team was just eliminated from The Amazing Race!!

I fixed my read folder! There were a few that were not registering so I hit edit and just hit the date finished date again and saved. Good thing I have a list elsewhere so I could tell what was missing lol

I saw that, I was very surprised. I thought it was going by total points but when I looked at the rules again I saw that you could be eliminated by having lowest points for a leg :-(

Okay we're down to a week left and we're making great progress on all the tasks. The regular hand is all finished so there is no need to keep filling out the regular tracking sheet and we can just focus on all easter tasks.

Natalie, just an fyi to the mods, the ranking sheet does not yet include the April hunt numbers in the total scores.

We are doing so good!! I took my name off the bird on cover book, I may look for another one but I wanted to open it up incase I couldn't find a different book I wanted to read. I think we are going to finish it :)

I think we are too! I have been avoiding putting anything in the main sheet since I thought we would have to move things around, but at this point I want to wait for us to finish. Right now we have three open tasks:

* Flower in text
* Rabbit on cover
* Bird on cover

Though these are in addition to all the other claimed ones we have. I'm going to try focus on mine first. I don't see bird or flower being too hard to find, but I have looked for another rabbit book and have not been able to find an option I can easily get. Do either of you have something?

I have a decent amount of travel over these next two days so I am planning on a lot of reading :)

I haven't been able to see any rabbit books thus far but I haven't looked super hard either. I am doing the same, making sure I have time for what I promised thus far but I am doing well so far and may be able the add another book if needed. I will just keep an eye on the spreadsheet�

I have one, but I haven't claimed it because I want to get through what I've already committed to.

Okay, looks like Venecia is doing flower and I rearranged my books so bird is done. The only open task is still the rabbit one. Post if you're having any trouble with your claimed tasks!!

I was trying to make my books work with Amazing race but it just isn't working out. I think I'll focus on this for now and try to push my AR books next week. Hopefully we don't get a detour tomorrow :-(

Which ones are you having trouble fitting in? My book The Bride does work for 5th-15th century and is currently in "E" in the kite spell out.
