Kylie (kyliemaree) | 878 comments Congrats Odette! Super job! And Brad, you're going well. :)

I can't help you regarding that one Krystal, sorry. However, if you've read enough to rate it, my advice would be either to count it as completed with a DNF and/or substitute it for another one that would match any of the criteria. :)

In my opinion it does not get any better. I gave it two stars and described it in my review as dull and bland. I didn't try any more in the series after that one:)

I read her 'Black Magician's Guild' trilogy about 10y ago and enjoyed the first book but the second was disappointing (think the third was okay). Haven't read any more of her work since then.

message 198: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (nicehotcupoftea) | 826 comments Progress report 2/3

Easy - Read 3 books - one Aussie author

1. Nanna and Pop: read a book where there is a Main Character who is over 50

The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson 4

I had this one as an audiobook, and the narration was superb. This was an amusing book, several LOL moments, lots of world political history in it (not my strong point).

3. Purple Unicorn : read a book tagged as fantasy

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

5. Miss Poppy : read a book where there is a teacher as a character

Maestro by Peter Goldsworthy AA 4

Took a long time to getting around to reading this one, I thought it was going to be too hard, but in fact it was easy to read, and had a very strong sense of Darwin, a city largely unfamiliar to me.

The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin Maestro by Peter Goldsworthy
