Always good when you find a book like that :)

Congratulations on finishing the challenge. Giving all your books a 5 star rating means I'll have to go back and have a look at your list!

Level - Hard - Read 9 books - three Aussie authors
11/11
Choose and complete your chosen level from the following 12 tasks:
1. Nanna and Pop
Task: Either read a book where there is a Main Character who is over 50 OR Read a book where there is a character who is a grandmother or a grandfather (doesnāt have to be the main character)
2. Coffee
Task: Either read a book with a cup of coffee on the cover OR the word coffee is mentioned in the text. If you pick this second one please tell us the title, author and quote the sentence it is in and the page number or location of the sentence.
e.g. Just Good Friends by Rosalind James āWeāll get you a coffee, and then weāll take you homeā pg 4
"It was noon. Only seven hours remained on the clock, and Caitlin and Spense had gone back to the Sky Walk to brainstorm. Horatio personally delivered a pot of coffee, along with a plate of cookies, possibly wrongly assuming they'd already had lunch-which was fine by her but not cool with Spense, who said he'd rather settle for black coffee than poison himself with white sugar." E-Book - Chapter Twenty-Seven - page 3.
3. Purple Unicorn (thanks to little Miss Lily for this one!!!)
Task: Either read a book with a purple cover OR read book tagged as fantasy
4. Comet (comet is their cat)
Task: Either read a book with a cat on the cover OR read a book set in Outer Space.
5. Miss Poppy ā (Miss Poppy is Jamesā year 2 teacher)
Task: Either read a book where there is a teacher as a character OR Read a book where there is a school aged character ā Neither character in either task need to be a main character
6. Rubbish Bin
Task: Either read a book that has been on your TBR for more than a year OR read the one that has been on there the longest
7. Knickers (James being naughty!)
Task: Either read a book where the MC is a woman OR read a book where you can see an item of clothing on the cover (NB does not have to be knickers)
I am lucky this book covers both tasks.
8. Mittens (kids just bought some ready for the trip to Japan for Christmas)
Task: Either read a book set in Japan OR read a book where someone is wearing something woollen on the cover (jumper, beanie, scarf etc.)
9. Paint
Task: Either read a book with a cover that is bright and full of colours like a paint box OR read a book where some decorating takes place
10. Monster (apparently one under Lily's bed that I have to sort out with monster poison next time I go over)
Task: Either read a book that is tagged as Horror OR read a book tagged as paranormal book.
11. Fish Fingers
Task: Either read a book with the sea on the cover OR read a book where you can see someones fingers on the cover
12. Ball
Task: Either read a book where you can see some type of ball on the cover (beach, football, tennis ball etc) OR read a book were the MC goes to a Ball or Dance.

Easy - Read 3 books - one Aussie author
1. Nanna and Pop: read a book where there is a Main Character who is over 50
The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson 4ā
I had this one as an audiobook, and the narration was superb. This was an amusing book, several LOL moments, lots of world political history in it (not my strong point).
3. Purple Unicorn : read a book tagged as fantasy
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin 5ā
I was late to the party for this series, both the books and the television series. I now see what all the hype is about!
5. Miss Poppy : read a book where there is a teacher as a character
Maestro by Peter Goldsworthy AA 4ā
Took a long time to getting around to reading this one, I thought it was going to be too hard, but in fact it was easy to read, and had a very strong sense of Darwin, a city largely unfamiliar to me.

1. Grandparents: Family Secrets by Liz Byrski AA 4*
2. Coffee cup on cover:

5. School age character: Great Expectations by Charles Dickens 3*
6. TBR>1yr: The Lake House by Kate Morton AA 4*
7. Item of clothing on cover: Cavendon Hall

11. Sea on cover: Tangled Webs by Irene Hannon 3*

All totally understandable Trish. We do a challenge every month so come back when you are ready:)
