I got 16 problems but my book ain't one.
See lame...

I will also need to think on team names and 'report' back. I'm pretty terrible at coming up with good ideas until it's too late though :P
I don't mind being captain if no one wants to do it. I captained last round so it's no big deal to me.
Lis wrote: "Hi teamies!! Ohhh. Fancy bingo cards... I like."
I don't know how I missed that! The new card design does look great.

Bookish Bingo Banshees

So, names ... Some of my previously unused suggestions:
Paranormally Inclined
Series Sirens
When I think of 16, my mind goes to sweet sixteen.
I like Bingo Banshees, Kait. I'm cool with whatever name the team likes best.
Anyone wanna be captain? Kait, you wanna do it again?
I'm super anxious for the game to start tomorrow! I've got Lake Silence and Burn Bright glaring at me every time I open my kindle. READ ME! LOL! One of those will definitely be my Free Space read.

I'm easy as far as team names go too. I don't have a favorite so if someone does... I am happy to go along with it.
I can be captain :)

Cool, thanks! Everyone okay with Kait being our captain or would someone else like the job?

I'm not caught up on Patricia Briggs' series. I was for a long time, and then really wasn't into one of the Mercy books then got so behind that I recently started both series over. The cover for Burn Bright is gorgeous.

This one seems to be back on Dani. There was a good bit of Dani in the previous book too. I'm still having a little difficulty with this Dani, not to give any spoilers away...

Same. I hope she'll eventually return to Simon, Meg & Lakeside or at least give us a short with some updates on how they're doing/progressing.

*wink wink* I know what ya mean by that.

I'm cool with whatever the group decides though.
Yay! Our first shelf! Off to look for my book.

I'm good with any name. Also thought of Sixteen Squared or Dos or Deux Sixteen or Deux Seize Lecteur since its 16th round & 16th team. French credit to my teen daughter

Yay bingo...if I don't get all my house work I planned on doing today done I can blame it on bingo lol. I told the lovely lovely bf of mine I was cutting back on my challenges this year...but I also told him I can't so no to bingo.

Fantastic free space choice! ;D
Shades of Treason sounds interesting too. I've yet to try that author but her other series has been on my radar for a long time.

Enjoy your books! SE Smith was on my shortlist for that shelf too. I started her Dragon Lords of Valdier series but need to continue.

I had completely stopped doing challenges O.o My work schedule has changed and because it's such a physical job (dog grooming), I'm reading a lot less because I'm so tired when I get home. I couldn't resist the call of Bingo either though. Waaayyy too much fun.
Do you have a team name preference?

Still figuring out my FS"
I looovee Eve and Roarke <333 Hope you enjoy that one!

I almost went with an In Death book, but I'm trying to work my way thru them slowly and savoring them along the way. So far they are not too repetitive or formulated yet. Enjoy!

I've been doing about 1 a month...I may up it to 2.

HAD to do it! :D
Yeah, I've had her other series TBR for years, maybe, but never started it. Thought I'd give this one a go.

I was thinking this same this morning when I realized we were T16 in R16. So, at the moment, my preference would be something taking advantage of that quirky piece of BSB trivia. But, as always - whatever the majority like, I'm good with it too.

Hmmmm... I'm having trouble thinking up much for that. These two took longer than I'd like to admit:
A Series of Doppelgangers
Seeing Double

I also like Seeing Double, as well - subtlety pulls on T16R16
I finished Lake Silence this AM. I need to let it soak in a bit before writing up my review. I'll do that soon though.

Double Seize Sirens
Double Seize Banshees
Seize Squared Sirens
Seize Squared Banshees

I like Seeing Double

I've started my book for our first shelf and so far I'm enjoying it. Hope everyone's enjoying their books! I'm super anxious to hear how those reading Lake Silence liked it. I couldn't decide on the rating, but settled with 3.5 stars.

I'm good with either one.

Lake Silence by Anne Bishop
Series: The Others #6
Shelf: Free Space (BEST OF UF list)
Read: 9 Mar
Rating: ✮✮✮
My Review:
Lake Silence is set in the same world as Bishop's first five Others books, however it shifts the focus from Meg, Simon and those at the Lakeside Courtyard to a human, Vicki DeVine, owner/caretaker of a rustic lodge, cabins and private lake access called The Jumble. It's located in Sproing, the only human village near Lake Silence. The village has a population of less than three hundred following the events of last summer and the Great Predation. While Sproing is a human village, it is not human controlled.
Similar to the Lakeside Courtyard, humans are reminded that the Others set the rules; you can follow them or you can die. In case you're unaware, signs are posted around the lake: Sign one reads "PACK OUT YOUR TRASH OR ELSE." Sign two makes it clearer "YOU MAY SWIM, FISH, SAIL, ROW, CANOE, OR FLOAT ON RAFTS AT YOUR OWN RISK. IF YOU PUT A MOTOR IN THE WATER, YOU WILL DIE." Still, some humans believe they're superior and don't fear what they cannot see.
In the first five installments, we saw some humans, as well as the Others, Elders and Elementals become protective of Meg. As a result, she was able to flourish and grow. Victoria is different from Meg in that she's fully human. Her marriage to an abusive ex-husband made her skittish and a sufferer of panic attacks. But, similar to Meg, Vicki has the support and protection of Spriong's inhabitants - seen and unseen.
"This is the wild country, and all of us are prey."It was sad knowing that the Lakeside Courtyard would not be the focus of this installment, but no less exciting as I was able to learn about Sproing and its inhabitants (both human, terra indigene and Intuit). It's too early to say whether or not I will enjoy their stories more or less than those of the Lakeside Courtyard. But, one thing has not changed - I love this world Anne Bishop has created and hope the stories continue for many years, no matter the location.

Title/Author: High Voltage by Karen Marie Moning
Series: Fever #10
Date Read: 3/11/2018
Shelf: Free Space
Pages: 512
Rating: ★★★★1/2
Review: Dani O' Malley has always been one of my favorite KMM characters in the Fever series. She's so unique with her passion for life and the personal responsibility she has assigned to herself for the safety of Dublin and its humans. She's got a larger than life personality and "mega" desire to be a super hero. And her conflict with Ryodan over the years has been one of my favorite parts of the series. So without getting too spoilery with this review, I just need to add that I've not been a happy camper with the Dani storyline in the past few books. Well I think this book kicked butt, so many twists and turns and secrets revealed. This was pretty much the Dani and Ryodan book I've been waiting years for... and so much more.

I'm having trouble getting into it. It's not even that I dislike it. It's just... not Lakeside so I keep putting it down to read other things. I think I need to make it a quarter of the way in and then I'll be invested to plow through and love it.

Yeah, I hear ya. I wasn't as into it initially as I'd hoped, but it moved quickly once I made myself get over not having more of Meg/Simon and Lakeside. ;)
I finished my book for this week's shelf. I'll post my review shortly.

Shades of Treason by Sandy Williams
Series: Anomaly #1
Shelf: Futuristic Romance
Read: 11 Mar
Rating: ✮✮✮✮
My Review:
Anomaly is a fun read with an interesting female lead. In this intro installment, I quickly wondered, what is an anomaly? Loyalty training? A fail-safe? I eventually pieced it all together and the hunt for these pieces does not make exploring this new world any less entertaining. There's a forbidden romance but it doesn't take center stage, which I appreciated.
"There are a thousand reasons why this can't work [...]Our heroine has been charged with treason and they've brought in her fail-safe to question her. She can't utter a word about what happened; if she tries, she'll pass out. Moreover, will Ramie be able to keep Rykus, the one person who could force her to speak the truth, from learning what she's convinced will destroy the Coalition she's sworn to protect?
"I'm an anomaly, Rip. I obliterate the odds every day."
"No fear. No failure."I enjoyed this introduction and Raime's story so much that I immediately searched for, bought and started reading book two, Shades of Honor. This book doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but I wasn't quite ready to let go of her story just yet.
