The Grapes of Wrath is a good classic.

I read Invisible Man in college. I found it to be a hard read, even with the guidance from the prof. But its very important to challenge ourselves with difficult literature.

I wish I could say it was my love of challenging literature that led me to the book. Don't get me wrong, I do like to read the difficult ones, but in this case I read the first page and was hooked. Any book that mentions ectoplasm and Edgar Allen Poe in the first line is one I definitely need to read.
