How are you liking The Book Thief? I read it just a few weeks ago and loved it; the idea of reading from death's point of view was different.

I started This is your brain on music. it's like reading music theory 101 with funny side notes and a little neurology mixed in.

Shannon (sianin) I am currently reading Their Eyes Were Watching God as a book club read for my in person book club. I am also reading Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea out loud to my son (7) at bedtime. Its going to take us a verrrry long time to get through it but he is hanging in there with all the science, lats and longs, and descriptions. We tried reading 3 muskateers in french but it was beyond both of us so we may try it in the future in english.

Excellent writing. Savoring all the descriptiive words. Seems like poetry within the prose.

LaTrica I'm towards the end of From Dawn to Decadence 500 Years of Western Cultural Life 1500 to the Present. It's the sort of book that adds to your reading list. He's covering a lot of ground and I'm recording the references for the more interesting parts.

I'm also reading Nana through DailyLit. I'm finding the theater scenes to be the best parts.

I'm reading Ask Alice by D.J. Taylor. It's a well written book but lacks that something which makes a book compulsively readable.
Then I'll probably read The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry.

Susie I am new to the group. But currently reading the new Lee Childs book, 'Gone Tomorrow.' But I noticed that a lot of people are reading 'The book Thief' and I thought it was one of the best books that I read last year. I loved it.
