Just finished The Thrill of It. It's about the Leopold/Loeb murder trial in the 1924 in Chicago. Now I'm reading, Those Who Save Us, by Jenna Blum. Excellent!

At first I didn't like the series- too teeny bopper for me- but it grew on me

Now reading, What Was Lost, by Catherine O'Flynn.

Just started House of Leaves, and I'm hoping it's as intriguing to read as it looks.

Yesterday, started Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger (audio), but I am also readin the book as it goes along and its word for word. Should finish this today. Then I will carry on reading The Angel's Game - Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

Fiona, is that the new novel by Carlos Ruiz Zafon? I loved Shadow of the Wind so I've been looking forward to his new one!

I'm reading The Language of Bees by Laurie R. King, the 9th in her Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series. I've waited four years for another book in this series and am loving it.

Stardust is one of the few exceptions of where I think the movie is better than the book.

Well I finished my Greek book and started another Greek one

I'm still working on Tess of the D'Urbervilles and started the The Sisters Grimm Book 1 The Fairy-Tale Detectives series. It's really cute great for kids.

I'm reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, about halfway through and enjoying it. I'm also listening to some of Gaiman's M Is for Magic on CD in the car. I love listening to him read his stories.

"The Local News" by Miriam Gershow--a young man has disappeared and the story is told from the point of view of his sister which is an interesting new take.

How are you liking The Book Thief? I read it just a few weeks ago and loved it; the idea of reading from death's point of view was different.

In the midst of Look Homeward Angel. Thomas Wolfe is a great great writer. Afraid it will spoil me for many other writers I used to like. Highly
recommend it.

Reading The Shack by William P. Young right now---would highly recommend it if you need to rebuild your faith in God. How is the book Time Traveler's Wife Fiona, others have talked of it highly so I thought of reading it?

Finally finished the hilarous Puberty Blues - Kathy Lette & Gabrielle Carey. Will now read A Home For Rose - Jon Katz. He wrote the bestselling book A Dog Year.

I am currently reading Their Eyes Were Watching God as a book club read for my in person book club. I am also reading Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea out loud to my son (7) at bedtime. Its going to take us a verrrry long time to get through it but he is hanging in there with all the science, lats and longs, and descriptions. We tried reading 3 muskateers in french but it was beyond both of us so we may try it in the future in english.

Excellent writing. Savoring all the descriptiive words. Seems like poetry within the prose.

I'm towards the end of From Dawn to Decadence 500 Years of Western Cultural Life 1500 to the Present. It's the sort of book that adds to your reading list. He's covering a lot of ground and I'm recording the references for the more interesting parts.

I'm also reading Nana through DailyLit. I'm finding the theater scenes to be the best parts.

I have just finished Whistleblower - Tess Gerritsen. Going to carry on readin A Home For Rose - Jon Katz.

Gave up on A Home for Rose - Jon Katz, just couldn't get into it this time. So I am going back to read The Brutal Art - Jesse Kellerman

I'm reading Ask Alice by D.J. Taylor. It's a well written book but lacks that something which makes a book compulsively readable.
Then I'll probably read The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry.

I am on a margaret atwood kick so I finished blind assasins (amazing) and started The Robber Bride.

I am new to the group. But currently reading the new Lee Childs book, 'Gone Tomorrow.' But I noticed that a lot of people are reading 'The book Thief' and I thought it was one of the best books that I read last year. I loved it.
