Glad you're part of this team!

Well I reckon reading at an older age has far more benefits especially with classics, since it seems that the older generation can capture emotions of the character far better than us. (No offense)
I've never experienced 'love' or betrayal as such, so I wouldn't be able to relate as well. With some books I know I'll have to return to when I'm older anyway...

Lol I don't think u can understand depth of emotion as u can when ur older:)

No us teenagers can't comprehend emotion. We're notoriously materialistic and are far too involved in dressing up, or texting to ever really experience the world. :P But maybe, perhaps when we are older...

Welcome, Michael! There are some different interpretations on classic on this group and it's encouraged. So if you think it's a classic, that's fine!

I used to read quite a lot of classic books years ago but I have rather gotten out of the habit and frankly at times I miss it. SO here I am looking for new books or maybe to reread other but mostly to stay motivated.

hello everyone. I am hoping to (already am) catch up on the classics I missed when I was younger because I wasted my time (well, not really wasted cos I had a ball) drinking and eating and watching movies and TV.
I think I've done all the 'standards' I suppose you could say...but now I want to diversify !
MAKE IT SO ! (see a TV reference already!)

I live just outside a small rural town in southwest Idaho. Besides loving to read, I like to sew and ride my bikes. My husband & I like to travel a little, but he is a farmer so at certain times we are really busy at the farm. I am a retired high school mathematics teacher. So I still love to work with math too.

My name is Daren and i'm from California in the United States. I have always loved the classics, my favorites being Dumas and Dickens. I look forward to reading the books as well as learning new info from the group!

I'm Lily, new to this club but I can assure you that I very much share the passion of reading with you. I didn't really had the chance to catch up with classics since high school so I would like to read a book with you every month and discuss them. And of course to make friends. :)

I'm Jared, I'm 20 years old and live in Glasgow, and I've just recently started using this site. I've only really started reading voraciously in the last few years, and I predominately read books which would fall into the category of "Classic". So yeah, I figured this would be the best group to join, and look forward to the monthly reads!

I'm Nikitha, 21 and from India. I actually love classics, but of late I have been reading too many contemporary and YA books and haven’t bothered to read any good classics. So, I thought this group would compel me to go back to them. So, here I am!! To read, and have fun in between :)

My name is Apollonia, like everyone here I love the classics :) I'm not new to them, as I've always read them.
Sense and Sensibility was my first classic when I was nine years old :)
I'm very happy to join and can't wait to begin reading!
Hellooooooo ! I am Esseffsee and I am a determined classic bagger ! I never even began reading classics until I was 20, Jane Ayer, and then I was hooked. Now at the ripe old age of o_O I am looking to engage with some of the more diverse classics I may have missed.

Welcome! :) hope you enjoy it here!
