Kaye George | 33 comments It doesn't like like I've introduced myself here. Life was crazy last month attending two mystery conventions and having my first novel launch (woo hoo!)

Kaye George, on the web at , twitter @KGeorgeMystery and fb ().

Mostly a mystery writer, with some horror and a little mainstream--or whatever you call non-genre stuff.

Alex Fayle (alexffayle) Hello all:

New to GoodReads and to the Indie Publishing thing although I've been writing for years. I love the change in the industry as I'm a small business person at heart and I think it's great to be able to take charge of my own career instead of relying on others.

I have a YA paranormal romance coming out this month and should have 3 more YA fantasies out before the end of the year.

Carol Fears (goodreadscomcarolannfearsauthor) | 11 comments Hi all!
I am new to GoodReads and recently published my debut novel on Kindle Direct Publishing. The book is titled: Beloved Destiny and it was published in February. Sales are pretty good. It is a historical romance, more romance than history, but enough history to satisfy anyone who loves books about the South. I also write short fiction, love to write horror stories and have a few published on Microhorror.com (Play Date, In the Place of Sun Dogs, and The Old Man's Tale.)

I love writing and will probably continue writing if I never make another dime.

Roy Finch | 1 comments Hello all,

I am returning to Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ after a long hiatus. I have recently published my debut novel The Emperor of Glitter Gulch on Kindle and Smashwords. The Emperor of Glitter Gulch is a humorous legal thriller. It is offensive, so consider yourself warned if you decide to give it a try.

I am currently about halfway through a first draft of my second novel Low Hanging Fruit.

I have a few books under my belt, including a collection and a novel ("Meets Girl"), with a third, "The Prodigal Hour," coming out this summer. I'm looking forward to exploring more of this group.

Roseanne (rschmread) | 5 comments I'm Roseanne Schmidt. I have a reading focus on all things YA.

Ha, anyway, I am reading SS and TPoFE and listening to Madapple on CD while driving about the world. My interests lie in all things crafting, art, book, psychology, personal development, self-help, health, fitness, life related.

The genre of my writing is only limited with each book i'm working on. I have many ideas for fiction and non-fiction books... Some so controversial I might need a new pen name for each one.

Matt (mentored1) | 1 comments Greetings!

My name is Matt Di Spirito, and it's been twenty-two minutes since I last had a read... :P

I'm an indie author of horror, fantasy, short stories, poetry, adventure, and... well, I think that covers it. Pretty much anything that tickles my fancy, I try to write about it.

Social media is a little overwhelming sometimes; I'm an introvert by nature, so I've been slow in getting in the communities and groups. Go easy, all right?

Take care!

Rebecca Burke | 16 comments Hola from Iowa!

I just like saying that, I'm not actually Latina. However, my new YA book (also a good read for adults who enjoy YA fiction on the gritty realistic side)is about a young Mexican American girl, who goes from working the fields to living in an urban YWCA homeless shelter in one 24-hour-period. I spent the years between ages 13-19 working in fields and factories for school expenses, and also taught and lived in Mexico, so have many inspirations for this book. I also hung out at the downtown YWCA in Des Moines one year, where I saw many young girls and women who were dealing with some very painful issues.

For the last decade I've been an in-house and freelance writer/editor for an educational publishing company. This has interfered greatly with my traveling and writing, like most jobs (insert dreaded smiley face here). Prior to that I lived in England, the Netherlands, Spain, and as mentioned Mexico. Besides reading and writing, I love to be outdoors--hiking, biking, swimming, cross-country skiing, or just walking the dog.

Shawn Hello, my name is Shawn Maravel and I am the author of the YA two book series Volition and Severance .

Here is a blurb for Volition as well as a link for the book trailer, check it out!

Charlotte Rush would be the first to admit that her life is no rollercoaster ride. Her days are laced with ordinary and at times boring monotony. But with a heart that finds itself frequently broken she's happy to say that she's content.

When her friends convince her to spend the night out at a club to let loose and maybe even find a guy, she finally admits that her life might be missing something.

No sooner does she let go of her inhibitions does she find herself waking up in a dark hotel room in the presence of Joel, a man who carries mystery in his eyes and familiarity in his smile. Against reason Charlotte decides to trust him based solely on one thing. Somehow, she is sure that she knows him.

In a race against time to find answers and to solve the crime committed against her Charlotte finds herself falling for him. However, with nothing but mystery surrounding him she can't even be sure that he's the hero at all. While knowing all of the right things to say he still manages to tell her nothing. As a battle is waged over the innocence of her cryptic stranger, Charlotte discovers that much greater danger awaits her. And the mysteries behind who and what Joel is will lead Charlotte to discover that heaven and earth are not so far apart.

Sarah Kernochan (professorbunny) | 7 comments My name is Sarah Kernochan. My new book, Jane Was Here, will be in stores, physically and digitally, June 14th.

If you are into the paranormal, reincarnation, past lives, then this might be a good fit for you.

The underlying theme of the book: how past history (whether real or imagined) impacts on the present day:

A young woman arrives in the small rundown community of Graynier, Massachusetts. She calls herself Jane, though she was christened by another name. She can point out the house where she grew up, though she has never been to Graynier in her life. Jane carries with her the fragmentary memory of her former life, and refuses to adjust to her new identity. Thus begins Jane's mission, to retrieve the puzzle pieces of a former life, groping her way through the past and the present simultaneously.

The inhabitants of Graynier are unwittingly drawn into the mystery, as it becomes clear: someone must pay in the present for past evils. Someone must pay for a murder committed 150 years ago. Will it be the reincarnated killer?

I just wanted to say hello. I'm from Dublin, Ireland, but I'm living in Stockholm at the moment.

My first book "Lady of Terras" was published at the beginning of the month in both e-book and paperback formats. I like to read just about anything that strikes my fancy. I just finished reading the young adult dystopian novel, "Divergent," and before that I read the WWII non-fiction book "Unbroken." I'm currently reading "True Grit" and "Lord of the Flies" (I've been watching a lot of "Lost" lately and felt an inclination to read Flies).

I look forward to making new friends here!
