Lacey Reah (laceyreah) | 28 comments I'm Lacey Reah, a new writer who finally joined goodreads. I finally made my profile and posted some books. I read all genres but I especially like dark fantasy in the form of short stories, novellas and graphic novels. I love horror and erotica as well as plays and classical literature. I read non-fiction and I'm curious about anything and everything. Sometimes I'll read something that is a completely different genre but I'll love it because it is well written. I like books that make you think in any form. I don't form tight boundaries on stories and information. Skies the limit. I hope I can contribute to some juicy literary discussions. I'm very busy so I maybe be able to come in once a week or so. I don't know. We'll see how addicted I get.
If you are interested in original vampire erotica, check out my latest novella, Fireflies by Lacey Reah. Thanks!

Arshad Ahsanuddin (pactarcanum) Greetings, all.

My name is Arshad Ahsanuddin, and I self-published two fantasy novels about a month ago, with a third on the way. It has been a quite an education trying to bring the manuscripts up to acceptable standards, as well as learning about marketing and promotion. I hope the final products are worthy.

The two books are the first of a series, based on on a question I asked in my head a number of years ago: Suppose vampires and vampire slayers were real, and fighting each other in secret all over the world, then what would happen if they were suddenly exposed on national TV? From that premise I created an urban fantasy world set in the near future, and threw in a generous dollop of gay paranormal romance.

I would welcome any advice or reviews if it will make me a better author. Hopefully, I can learn enough to contribute something useful to this group.

Respectfully,
Arshad Ahsanuddin

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) I'm JJ Toner, I have written 3 books and intend to publish 2 of them as eBooks. But first, I am working on an eBook of ten short fun-SF stories, called 'Ovolution and Other Stories'. There's nothing hardcore or classical about these stories. They were fun to read and were fun to write.

My blog is at although, as I write this, Blogger is down (again).

Jeffrey Poole (authorjmpoole) Greetings!

A friend of mine is a member of this group and invited me to join. Scott, it wasn't too hard to find this group after all!

I'm a Microsoft Certified tech that clearly has way too much time on his hands and have written a book. Well, I can't say I have too much time. Took me a number of years. :)

My book, Bakkian Chronicles, Book I - The Prophecy, is a fantasy adventure story suitable for young adults. It's about two people who unknowingly activate a portal in a house they have inherited and are sent to another world. Trying to find a way to return home, they learn they are the prophesized protectors of the young crown prince. Griffins, dragons, and BNPs (Bugs of Nightmarish Proportions). Some days it didn't pay to get out of bed.

Since I'm a freelance computer tech, I decided to start a blog to help with any questions other people might have when it comes to formatting your book for Kindle, or for those with computer problems, etc. I've just about seen it all, so if you have a problem, hit me with your best shot!

Larry Kahn (larrykahn) | 7 comments Hi, all. I'm an avid reader and love my Nook Color and have begun reading blogs that will help me populate it with stories from little known writers who are trying to break out from the pack. I read mostly in the thriller/suspense genre. I'd love to hear your suggestions and help promote new authors.

I'm also a writer myself. My first novel, THE JINX, was released in 2000 but has recently been re-released as an ebook. It retails for 99 cents on most online bookseller sites. It received great reviews in Publishers Weekly and others, but my favorite blurb was from The Legal Times, which called it a "remarkably well-crafted book." My second novel, KING OF PAINE, is due out shortly. I will no doubt shamelessly self-promote it in the appropriate forum when it's released.

Honest Publishing | 2 comments Hello,

We're an independent press, formed in 2010, publishing unconventional books, works that don't necessarily fit a niche. We take risks on work that big publishers wouldn't. Currently have 4 titles out:

The Wooden Tongue Speaks Romanians: Contradictions Realities
Wedding Underwear for Mermaids
The Killing of a Bank Manager
Jazz

Would love to know what you think!
