Hello team! Very excited to get started. Names are the toughest for me so I'll try to come up with some today. I'm in the US on est std time. I'm a working mom, so I will be able to pop in for quick updates in the morning and available in the evenings.

@Jennifer this is my 3rd round playing, so ask away.

Other things to take care of: time zones? Team captain volunteer? I'll pass on captain unless no one else can do it.

Time zone for me: I live in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas...we are around 15 hours behind Sydney.

I'm cool with anyone but me being the Team Captain. Since I haven't a clue as to how this all works, I don't think I would be a good choice. ;)

As far as the team name, do we want it to have something to do with UF?

Hello everyone! Since this is my first time, I definitely do not want to be the team captain. I'm on the west coast, and work full time. So my posting is usually at lunch or when I get home at night.

As for names, I'm not good at coming up them either. But I do like "Nine Circles of Hell" and "Divine Nine"!!

For first timers this is really easy and fun. Steph will post a link to the shelf that mr Randomizer selects and someone on the team will pop it in our thread. All you have to do is click the link and page thru until you find a book you have already, or select one you've been wanting to read. These are common GR shelves, so it seems the YA books appear heavily in the first couple of pages.

What's nice is that you can see your personal star ratings and shelf listings on the right. I'm a book horder so I usually have 5 or 6 choices and then you can post your short list if want help deciding.

It's nice to get your "free shelf" book read early on to get it out of the way. The first month or so, you have time to get the book read and finished in that same week so you don't get behind. Towards the end when we may be in a tie situation, you'll need to read pretty quickly.

I kind of like "Cloud Nine"... I was a Divining Diva last round (post celebratory twirl) so "Divine Nine" could be good luck too.

Anyone want to be team captain?

The job entails listing our reads and then linking to our reviews and when we've all read for a particular shelf, then requesting Steph stamp us. You've basically just got to keep everything tidy. LOL. And get the whip out for any slackers once we get close to Bingo :)

I would volunteer if I wasn't blocked at work, which locks me out of communication for 10-12 hours. With addition of kids in many activities I fear it coming down to the wire and missing an entry on time. My teams have been in the running last two rounds, so I know how important a few hours can make.

Also my book I was just reading had a line with nth power... So I thought of another one: "Sexy Literary Chicks to the 9th Power"

Unfortunately, 9th Power is pretty close to Rnd 4's Team #9 name - Nth Power.

Good catch Sandra, I didnt look in the archived threads to check.

I was on all the threads so much last Rnd, doing the verifying as well as chatting, that most of the names stuck.

I don't want to be team captain, as I too can be out of contact for 10 to 12 hours at a time.

I missed a bit here! Thanks Sandra for being team captain. As for names, my daughter suggested that we name our team after the ninth circle of hell. I looked that up, and the site said it's called the circle of treachery. That could be interesting, but maybe a bit out there?

I am also ready with a book for my free space that I've ordered from my library!
