This series just keeps getting better and better. Whilst it is a light fluffy read it is also full of fun and likable characters.
This one came with added Dragons which was an unexpected bonus.
Libby Monroe, and her team of PRIS (Paranormal Research & Investigation Service) which includes her parents have decided to stake out the town of Broken Heart and she was assigned the cemetery. Within about 5 minutes she is attacked by a crazed vampire, saved by a zombie, gets hot & bothered by another vampire and almost squished by a couple of dragons. And whilst she has spent her entire life studying potential paranormals she hasn't ever met any before or met anyone else who has either.
Ralph, widower, father, is our hot vampire and has 3yr old twin sons and thinks they should be his priority but can't understand why he is drawn to the human girlie Libby.
Meanwhile the female dragon has been fatally injured in the fight with her brother and wants to pass on her talents & soul to anyone but him. Libby is closest and whilst helping her she receives the ultimate gift of fire.
Lots of battles ensue with dragons & the ancient Lia (one of the seven first vampires) and plenty of interaction between our favourite H and h of previous books. Broken Heart is turning into a real enclave of the paranormal.
Looking forward to the next book, where hopefully, we'll find out where Synd's (brother dragon) soul went and why he was trying to steal Sybina's soul. And also what happened to the evil In-Laws who wanted to take Ralph's twins, even though they didn't know he was a vampire.

I had to check my shelves, but I finished that book and had the same rating as well. Plus, I have the next two on my tbr pile, but I haven't read them yet. I'd be curious to see what you think after reading the next one. Are you planning on reading it some time soon, or are you like me and wait months before you get around to it?!

Wow! Â I am thoroughly shocked. Â This actually turned out to be a pretty good book. While it doesn't measure up to the earlier books in the series, it is definately better than the last one.Â
As always, Sookie is dealing with someone's murder and her love life is in turmoil. Â All the different supernaturals make an appearance and more than one of them are out for Sookie's blood. Â It started out slow, but eventually picked up.Â
I'm a huge Eric fan, so I would love to see them stay together. This book leaves the reader wondering if Sookie will ever find her one true love. I know, kind of cheesy, but I love it. Â It appears that there is only going to be one more book in the series, for a total of 13. It will be interesting to see how the series will end. I did enjoy this read and I intend to read the next book, as well.Â

Yay Jennifer!

Yay Jennifer!"
I know sometimes (especially weekdays) I'm not as tuned in to things. . . So what is super release Tuesday?!!

Book: Tempest Rising

Jane has had trouble while growing up in the small town of Rockabill. Now as a young adult she finds out that she is only half-human. In this book there is a slightly different twist on the supernatural as she starts to learn her way through the troubles. She befriends (or really more than that) a vampire, as well as some other "two-formed."
The book was cute and interesting, but I prefer really strong female leads. Which, I have to say, sometimes drives my husband nuts!
I'm glad I finished this book though. :-)

Publishers for some reason picked Tuesday to release their books. Probably fits in with the hype machine.
So, some of the books released-

I've thought about reading this series on multiple occasions. I can't really tell you why I haven't. After reading your review, Sandra, I may have to add it to my TBR shelf. BTW - I love that you used "whilst"...and 3 times at that!

The Jane True Series is another one of my favorites. I absolutely love the author's, Nicole Peeler, style of writing. Jane eventually does "grow a pair," but I completely see what you mean. Glad you stuck it out. OUR FREESPACE SHELF IS COMPLETE!!! YAY US!!!

LOL My bad :) I'm a shocking review writer usually do it just so I can remember which book is which. Whilst was because of meanwhile.
This is a series you can read interspered between all your other must read books. Light, fluffy, fun. First one was a bit iffy, 3 stars; worldbuilding etc more than character driven.

I'll mention it to Steph cause I know she enjoyed that series and she's got it listed as wishlist, but she's ODing on

Whilst is rarely used in the States. It's one of those words that should be used, but isn't. I have a degree in English Literature...I get completely geeky when it comes to underused words. ;) Did any of that make sense?

Eng Lit hey. Well then, I expect beautifully worded reviews from you ;)
I don't mind using words like whilst, it was the fact I overused it that was bad. LOL.
When I mentioned Jane True to Steph, she said she's got it preordered :D

Another fab book in the Morganville Vampires. A new threat to the residents, causing choas. Vampires are going missing, Claire's feeling vulnerable and the impending engagement party isn't making anyone feel better.
I love the characters in this book Claire, Shane, Eve, Michael and Myrnin et al.
Really looking forward to the next one.

Pretty sure we're the first or at least one of the 1st to get all stamps so far :D
Great reading TEAM!!!

To-Be-Continued? Yes
Review: Lily St Claire moved back to her hometown of Baton Rouge after being away for 10 years. She encounters her best friends older brother who she has been crushing on since her school days. Little does she know, but he has been longing for her all these years and stayed away because of a promise to his little sister. Well all bets are off, because Lily is a prized "dormant" and several alphas are after her as mate. It was a good mystery read with werewolves and a serial killer on the lose. A little predictable at times and our heroine made dumb decisions as did the alpha/police chief.
Will be continuing with the series because amazon had all 4 books in the series bundled for less than $4US dollars. Luv bargains and the story moves at a good pace, so I'm sure the rest will be worth it.
