So far, I have some concerns about the bias of the author as well as some of the categorizations of people. I don’t know enough about the Puritans to know whether or not it’s fair to say that there are “Liberal Puritains and “conservative Puritans. It seems like this book will draw a narrative of how spectators paved the way for modern utilitarian education, which the author assumes is a good thing.
