Hello, S.J Kincaid. I recently finished The Diabolic. I'm sure you know how great of a book it is. The overall story was a very interesting read for me- science fiction has never been something I easily give into. Now, I'd like to ask for the inspiration behind the butterfly. The cover was honestly simple and intriguing. I just don't understand, why not a scorpion, or perhaps a tiger? Even a frog would make more sense

Hi Riley! The cover was done by the incredibly talented Lizzy Bromley. I think scorpions were contemplated, but ultimately the image is meant more to be symbolism rather than a direct tie-in to the text. There is really nothing so fragile and beautiful as a butterfly...
