I want to let you know that i enjoyed the book very much and i am looking forward for the next installments in the trilogy. your work rekindled my love for arabian nights and reminded me of how much i loved those stories as a kid. I read your blog post about the middle eastern literature and added them to my to-read list. Do you also draw inspiration from any asian/indian literary classics?

Not so much from the literary side as I'm far more steeped in Arabic and Persian works in that realm. But I definitely took some inspiration from Mughal history... especially its many warring princes!

Last week I finished "City of Brass" and had NO idea I was stepping into a series of books. Not that I'm complaining because the story is amazing. I see the next installment is expected in 2018 - any hints as to when in 2018? I don't know how much longer I can wait to read the next one... ^_^

Specifically with characters, because that's always the part that trips me up when I attempt to write.
