Hulloooos! Thank you so much for visiting my little book page. This question is such an important one to me. The short answer is: I got the idea for this book because I was stalked when I was a teenager, the same age Delilah is in the book. It was terrifying and awful, and to this day, when I think about it, it shakes me how freaking lucky I was to have been able to escape the situation (I moved away to college).
I promise I will come back at a later date and share the full story, but for now, this is why. I remember how helpless I felt, and how absolutely trapped, and I hope that anyone who's in a similar situation will read this book and feel--I don't know, a little bit less scared and a lot less alone.

Hiya! I as a fellow Chinese-Indo girl I never really saw myself in particularly romance book. Only when I read WTWU did I feel truely seen for the first time in a book. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE AND ADORE THE REPRESENTATION OF INDONESIAN CULTURE IN WTWU (I read in twice in a row) and I was just wondering whether future characters of your books will also be Chinese-Indonesian?

hii! i wanna say that i really love dial a for aunties. i'm chinese-indo and i read this book during cny this year and it hit really hard HAHAH. i really loved the way you represented the culture in the book. so, related to that, how do you do it so smoothly? i also want to write a story with indonesians as the mcs, but i find it hard to put in the culture without making it awkward 😠so.. how? ada saran nggak?
