I get asked this question a lot: Was your main character, the daring baker, in The Baker's Man inspired by anyone? Is she you?

She’s definitely not me! But I’d like to think we’d be great friends and that perhaps I share some of her characteristics. I didn’t draw from any one person to create Anna. All of my characters are inspired by real life people or genuine personality traits in people I’ve met, but I use only pieces of people, not whole parts. I’ve found that everyone I meet has interesting or inspiring traits, and any of those pieces can create dynamic, believable characters.
