Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ asked C.E. Chester:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.E. Chester I was inspired to write Meteor Shooters twenty years ago when I shot trap competitively. I wrote a short story, well, actually I wrote 3 different short stories with the same characters, trying to figure out how to make it better. It ended up being shoved on the book shelve for a couple decades.

When I finished Terraform Earth, I had another research intensive book outlined, but wanted to take the weekend off. I went to bed Friday night, telling my brain to take a break before starting another overwhelming project.

My brain respond: "Do you remember that short story we wrote 20 years ago?"

I replied, "Yes. It didn't have a plot."

My brain decided we needed to come up with a plot, and didn't stop thinking about it until about 2am. Not only did I map out the plot for Relay Station #4163, but I also came up with an idea for a sequel.
